Thankful for her excellent balance, Tetro was able to remain on Hapax's shoulders while he rushed the orcs. Not sure what else to do she let out a loud whoop of delight followed by a shout of, "the Kneecaps!! Go for the kneecaps!!"

Lelouch lands a blow on the yellow orc but it blocked with its own greataxe and the blade didn't sink too deeply. Despite Tetro's words of "encouragement" Luvon's shot ended up clattering against the far wall.

The yellow orc tries to return the favor to Lelouch but his mech's armor is too dense to penetrate. The blue and red orcs throw a javelin each at Hapax and Luvon but both go wide. Meanwhile the green orc double moves and draws his axe.

So...other than a lot of roaring defiantly they didn't do much this round.

Leaping off of Hapax's shoulder, Tetro falls back behind the three, trying to find a good spot to shoot from while avoiding clipping her friends in the legs, as she'd much rather take out one of the other orcs. Staying low and back she loads her crossbow and goes to line up a shot while staying out of the fray and being mindful to not get stepped on.

Grunting Lelouch raises his weapon and swings at the Orc with all of his strength

The party lands some powerful blows on the orcs. The red orc earned a deep cut to his side from Hapax and a bolt to the clavicle from Luvon, while only the yellow orc's rage seems to keep him going after Lelouch savages his gut. Meanwhile Tetro reloads and takes aim now that she is no longer hitching a ride.

The orcs fair much better this round as the red orc chops into Hapax's leg and the green orc goes for an arm (11 damage total to Hapax, as well as the battered condition and -1 to AC and Reflex as long as Hapax is battered). The yellow orc does a good job of messing up the mech's paint job but the damage is fairly minor (7 damage to the mech after hardness is applied). The blue orc spends his turn running around the hole in the floor to be adjacent to Luvon.

A rough turn for Hapax. Looks like Tetro is using the Far-sight Scope improvement this turn? IE. +4 to your next attack next round. Correct me if I'm wrong. Don't forget your Inspire Courage bonuses!

Rolling her eyes and staying out of the way takes aim at the red Orc, "Let's see if you bleed red too..." Lining up the shot using her scope, squeezes and watches as the bolt goes flying towards red.

Luvon back-pedaled as the orc circled around towards him, unleashing a bolt at the offending miscreant.

Hapax was rocked by the orc's blows, his armor insufficient to protect him from them. Summoning another rune, this time manifesting as a wrought iron display before launching itself at the southern orc fighting him. He then escapes as best he can.

Lelouch seeing the beating his friends were taking raised his weapon again and swung with all of his strength trying to dispatch of the current orc so that he could go aid his friends.

Hapax speaks an iron bar into existence but it cartwheels past the red orc's ear. Tetro takes advantage of this distraction to land a bolt in the orc's chest. Luvon does the same to the orc approaching him and backpedals away from him. Lelouch lands a devastating blow on the yellow orc and leaves the two orc halves behind to rejoin his friends.

The red orc steps back from direct combat and pulls a potion from his belt supply that's been there the whole time and is in no way a last second addition. The green orc swings wildly at Hapax but even with his injured leg he ducks the swing. The blue orc swings at Luvon and leaves a deep wound on his abdomen. The yellow orc continues to be dead.

Luvon stumbled back, gripping his chest his breath ragged. You cur! Luvon spat as he fired another bolt at the dullard.

Hapax threw another iron rune at the retreating Orc. Allowing it to heal would be tactically unwise. Besides, if he survived that fight, that potion would be really useful afterwards.

Hapax's iron bar struck the red orc squarely in the chest, shattering ribs and leaving the orc a sprawled out mess on the floor. Between Luvon's bolt and a mighty swing from Lelouch the blue orc goes down as well.

The green orc seemed ready to approach Hapax for another swing but between Tetro's attack clipping his arm and seeing two of his allies go down he goes for the stairs leading up.

There's a pounding of boots and a moment later a younger looking orc appears on the stairs leading to the upper floor, out of breath.

He heads back up the stairs quickly.

With a sigh and grunt "Oh no you don't, c'mere," Tetro grumbles under her breath at seeing not so friendly green giant (everything is giant when your 2 feet tall) flee. Tetro then stops mid way between both sets of steps to fire another shot to possibly take him down for good.

While he was able to hit the orc good as he ran off; catching him would be next to impossible. Instead he ran closer and launched another iron rune at him, hoping to knock him down the stairs into a more reachable position.

The green orc's retreat ended poorly. After Hapax's blade carved him up, he dodged and deflected the bolts launched by Tetro and Luvon. Luckily Hapax was able to put him behind bars...well bar, and the orcs were no more.

Now patched up and ready to continue exploring, the party heads up to the next floor. When they arrive they find little of interest, just a pile of scraps of long ruined furniture pushed out of the way of the stairs. Continuing up the next several floors and finding more of the same the party eventually finds a set of bedrolls laid out on the ninth floor. Various personal trinkets and mess kits are scattered about the room, leaving it looking like a pigsty.

Above you, you here the sounds of the younger orc gulping down air after his return trip.

C'mon; can't let her catch her breath on us. He motioned to the final stair to the roof.

As you crest the top of the stairs you're surrounded by the beam of purple moonlight bathing the tower. Not far from you is the young orc you saw earlier wielding his axe, his breath a bit more under control. Behind you all notice another orc attempting to surprise you with an alchemist fire (he rolled very poorly).

You also see a hinged metal plate that appears to be a lid for the hole in the roof. Nearby is a campfire with a large dog suspended over it on a spit. The fire is still low but the dog looks to be very distressed by the situation.

Luvon aimed his crossbow at the orc behind them, giving him only an askance look. Is that all?

Seeing the two orcs otherwise occupied by her three party members, Tetro, makes a bee line for the helpless doggo, her crossbow at the ready as she moves towards the roasting pupper.

The orange orc hurls his flask of alchemist fire at Luvon as payback for the bolt lodged in his chest, landing a direct hit and dealing 3 fire damage. The purple orc takes a deep slash from Lelouch and returns the favor dealing 9 damage to the mech after hardness.

The large dog looks expectantly at Tetro and you see his tail wag a bit.
