    You start down the warmer colored passageway. It's moderately curved, stopping you from seeing too far in front of you, but the hall itself seems normal. Just as you reach a longer straight section that has doors on either side, you hear a banging sound. It echoes down the hall, loud and thunderous.

Considering the thing seems to be making noise like it's using a forge, there's a good chance that it's some form of sentient, but since none of them have actually seen what's making the noise yet, it's perhaps a bit early to try and draw up a strategy.
