Nah mister Mysterious Eye just time manipulated his proper introduction into happening a page early. Time wizard are the worst for continuity, I swear.

So, is this guy related to the Dreen (or, indeed, one of them)? Certainly seems to share their relation to time...

Perhaps more to the point, why did he introduce himself by holding a gun to their heads, but has now put the gun away and everyone seems to be besties?

He/She/It looks similiar to the thing hovering over mechanicsburg. Both are coneheaded with a lot of eyes in the center.

My guess is this creature is easily confused by comprehending time in the third dimension so its entirely possible they will have a confrontation but it didnt realize said confrontation takes place later and err, "jumped the gun" so to speak. Once it realized it wasnt time to fight yet it put the gun away.

The problem with labeling any of Agatha's actions as foolish while she's doing it is that we don't know what she knows. Sometimes she IS screwing up, as with freeing the Muse of Time. Sometimes she's not, as when she triggered the early take-over of Paris by what's his name. Because she realized that the linchpin of his plan was a der Kestle AI, and that it would obey HER, not him. If the summons nets an eldritch abomination that rips the life out of every creature in the universe immediately upon arriving, that would constitute a boo-boo, yes indeed. If it shows up and calls her 'Mistress', that puts things in a different light.

Like eee says, we don't know what she knows. But also, we don't know how much influence her mother has over right now.

I missed this part. When did we discover the Castle AI is the linchpin of the plan?

In case it's not clear, this is in reference to DuQuay trying to take over Paris, not current events.

Because the point of conflict, trying to stop the machine from being activated, is moot now. It has been anyway(and by Agatha no less) so there's no more point fighting and threatening peoples over it.

So the pages weren't uploaded out of order, time is out of order. Fun little meta-play with the comic there.

I don't think anyone would want those pancakes even if you paid them to eat them.

I'm impressed that the Foglios managed to make even me, who's not in the story, feel very lost in time.

    Well, this is weird.

Do you think he has taken advantage of the ritual to go back home? Or will, dammit.

I wonder who they are sacrificing and I hope this time screw up does not last for long. I made it through BSI with no problem and I have to work at this.

I was close, turns out time is screwed up here and its causing all sorts of issues with actions that need to be taken/were taken/are being taken out of order due to the creatures presence. I wonder if agatha will get information from this being she can work with to free mechanicsburg.

Oy vey! I hope this timey-wimey confusion is brief. Trying to piece together what is going on is already giving me a headache.

If the Foglios were absolute sadists, the rest of this story will be told in similar disjointed segments of time style and we'll have to cut and paste to figure out what's going on.

    Pray God, no...

I'm still hoping this is brief, but I'm beginning to appreciate the non-sequitur approach to this timey-wimey stuff.

I bet the Foglio's had fun writing this. I wonder if they wrote out the narrative, dropped each scene into a hat, shook vigorously, and finally pulled them back out one by one to place them randomly.

Yeah. It's one of those things that suddenly make you worry about your insurance coverage.

Does insurance cover the damage 4th dimensional monsters? That seems like something the insurance agents would hide in the fine print about not being covered. Along with actions by the Hetrodynes.
