Default Is it ok to make the same post on two different forums?

I'm looking for advice on how to DM for a very particular group. I thought about posting in the general Roleplaying Forums as well as the system specific 5e sub-forum. I think both forum regulars will have something to add, so I figured I'd post on both.

Just came here to check if I would be violating any rules. Thanks!

No, you should avoid making the same post in two different places. Put it in what is the most relevant place (which seems to be the 5e forum in this case).

Thing is, I'm not entirely sure I'd DM in 5e. I might run a PF game, though 5e seems more likely at the time.

Edit: Anyway, it's up on the Roleplaying forum. With permission I'll post it to 5e's as well.

Sheriff: No, don't cross-post things. Post in the area that you think is best. If you later think it needs to be moved, let us know. If other posters think it needs to be moved, they'll definitely let us know. If we spot it and think it needs to be moved, we'll do it.

For a thread like the one you've described, either leave it in general roleplaying where both 5e and PF can be addressed or ask for it to be moved to 5e where you can get mostly 5e-specific responses.

    Thanks for asking first.
