So they just poofed into existence in the Station? I don't remember civilian recruits ever being announced. And I know it sounds nit-picky, but assuming things like that kinda ruins the RPing.

You know there was a Police force before you put Arbites in, police NPCs just spawn here.

There was a police force. Then the Fourth Empire descended from the skies and wiped them out. I don't believe you were really in Town when that happened.

Also, NPCs do not "spawn" here. That's total nonsense.

"Hey! Here it is!" Maph'tey declares as he pulls a dusty plate bearing his name off the top of a filing cabinet. "I'll... just need to find a desk now..."

Personnel shifts change, those who have been on duty all day settle down to a well-earned rest at their bunks.

Regina appears in the Station. "Here's 40,00 gold for bail for whatever crimes they're charging me. I'm tired of having to deal with these long ass trials."

((Any NPC officers, who were incidentally fairies, would have been slaughtered by the FE. And that's simply not a valid explanation. That just ruins the RPing. People don't just "spawn" out of nowhere.))

Jarus gets a report from the Courthouse, and groans.
"Another case against Rex? Lilith isn't going to be happy about this."

He looks irritated.
To Regina, he then says,
"I'm getting tired of you. Fine, you can pay the bail, because the crime wasn't life-threatening, but you still have to go to court."

And yeah, I have posted that there are other officers that use the guns, you just haven't been paying attention.

You've failed to explain where those officers came from, however.

((I agree with Vader; except for one thing. He had an NPC Epic Level Cleric 'spawn' out of convinience of a tough situation. So he's right in what he's saying, but he's a tad hypocritical.))

((Yes; but the cleric didn't try to perforate demigods with Void Bullets, and there weren't scores of him. What, exactly, where the circumstances in which he was called forth from the Infirmary anyways?
And you may have noticed that I haven't done that again, whereas apparently these officers have been continuously "spawning" ever since the Station set shop back up.))

Paddy looks up at the OOC conversation over his head and shouts. "Take it to the Town Hall!"

"What do I have to go to court for? I plead guilty, just don't want to waste my time."

"Well, you still have to officially plead guilty in court. And I'm launching a serious inquiry into your conduct as an officer over the past few weeks. If the Kyrian case is proven to be your fault, you're in serious trouble. I've had it with you."

[Rex Idiotarum]

"You don't have the power to kick me off the Force, and of course, it's up to the defendant whether they want a trial or just to plead guilty, you know that. I also want to switch my plea to guilty in that trial, not because I am, but because one post a fricken day for crappy questions that don't prove anything to be asked is just dragging me down."

[LordVader]

"I'm afraid that would be a massive perversion of the justice system. If you say you are guilty in court, then you are guilty. Live with it."

"Also, I don't have the power to kick you off, but I am, once again, taking this to Lilith for the third time in as many weeks. "

[Rex Idiotarum]

"No, because I did nothing wrong and was drawn into a long, boring torture, which I want to file a report on Kyrian for dragging me to. But hey, I can be with you, or I can hel this place fall apart, because with only you fit to actually run the station, how well do you think it will uphold? Now, I actually get pulled to trial for doing my job, and it's tiring."

[LordVader]

Jarus looks angry now.
"I'm sorry if our laws don't fit your wants and needs exactly. Whether or not you did anything is for the JUDGE to decide, not you! You're the defendant! Your opinion is biased, it means nothing! Now either plead guilty in court and live with it, or go defend yourself!"

By the end of his tirade, he is furious. He almost never gets this emotional.

"Who have we had it with?" Maph'tey inquires as he dusts off his name plate. "And where should I set up my desk. I need to get active here after... being gone... for some reason."

He doesn't appear to be very clear on the details of this.

"Hey! You guys have anyone who needs to be 'captured'?" by captured Ruin probably means 'set on fire'.

[Rex Idiotarum]

Regina sighs, "I shouldn't have to go to court, I'll plead not guilty, but willing to pay the fines and bail. Alright?"

[Vhaidara]

(LV, you have to request a trial. If Regina doesn't want one, she doesn't need one.)

[blackout]

Moose walks in, tearing a page out of his notepad, and starts looking for some tape.

[Draken]

A flash of blue light comes from some direction, shattering a window as it enters, and stops at Draken's recently undeadtimed hand, revealing itself to be his weapon.

It is over.

Draken smiles gently.

For those who have true seeing active provenient by a source better than that of the badges, the blade entered ethereal, and the shattering is a crafty illusion.

Danae walks in behind Moose.
Stuck up, self-righteous bitch.

"Show-offy, are we?" Regina says, sprawled out on a bench.

Well, that's good. Now, where's some tape? Moose looks around for tape, still holding the torn-out page of his notepad in his hands.

Danae walks over to Regina.
Um, Regina, could we talk for a minute? It's about Liran.

[Rex Idiotarum]

"O?" Regina sits up and looks at Danae. "What about?"

[Rebonack]

"What's over?" Maph'tey inquires as he begins to arrange the stuff in one of the empty desks to his liking.

"This is so great. All these new people to piss off."

"Could you give it a rest for once Ruin?"

"Naw, it chaffs you too much to stop."

Maph'tey rolls his eyes.
