Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
Gar
"Why would we come back?" Gar whispers. "Lets grab the elf and go. If we don't run into this "bone licker" guy all the better. If we do have to kill him - oh well, we should still leave. I doubt long term they would make good servants - they gave up their current boss with out us even really threatening or paying them off. Besides, I think they might be morons."
Gar examines the door they just closed and fishes in his pack for his tool set.
Spoiler
Gar looks for a way to lock the door from the outside using his thief tools.
If applicable he'll take 10 on his disable device check : 28

"I mean, I'd like to clean the place out, but if we can rescue Taran quickly for no risk I'm happy." Obret looks a bit shaken about what just occurred. "If the guards didn't alert anyone, I'd like to make sure we clear out who we can before anyone does." Seeing Gar pull out tools, Obret casts guidance on him.

As Gar is trying to figure a way to lock the door from the outside, he hears a knock. Opening the door the Kobolds are earnest in their words " 100 gold and we will not eave this room until you come back and tell us so. the leader adds "if you come back with bonegnashers head we will even join you.. our warren is gone an' is jus us now. The elf is being questioned about something he was caught snooping about"

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
Thruffgar turns towards the kobold leader, axe in hand and shield raised.
"I believe we 'ad already agreed tha' if ye dinnae make any noise or leave th' room, ye get t' live. Ye nodded, which showed ye agreed. Lettin' ye keep yer life were quite generous on our part, I be thinkin'. Now, lad, wha' mistake 'ave ye made, and 'ow 'ave you violated th' agreement?"
Having had enough of their idiocy, he steps forward and swings his axe at the leader.

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
The arrows of Zed fly with deadly accuracy putting 2 kobolds down just before the leader falls to Thruffgar's axe. The remaining kobolds being backed into a corner still try to at east inflict some damage jabbing at the dwarf with their spears. Gar Tumbles in stopping the furthest living kobold from surroundng Thruffgar, who then comes under the effect of Obret's hex. He deals a solid attack and is retailited against but the kobold's attack seems off, owing to the hex no doubt.

The group manages to take out the Kobolds. You know the opposite tower is where some hobgoblins are torturing an elf, and the leader is something that goes by Bonegnasher.

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
With the speed of the combat, it seems that nothing was alerted. Most likely, anything else is either too far away or the sounds of torture are covering up any other noises for them.
You make your way back out into the courtyard. There is the doors in the top corners of the room and the one in the eastern wall that should lead to the opposite tower the elf lord is being held in.

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
Gar checks and the door isn't locked. He manages to hear some shuffling and a clicking noise on the other side. Thruffgar takes the lead and opens the door to the next room. Though dirty, this room is still in good condition. Carved stone pillars support the arching roof. This was clearly the keep's chapel. At the back wall is a stone block, once an altar. The fine Carvings on its base are nothing but chipped scars now. Even so, the altar still seems like it is a thing of peace and strength. There is a door at the southern part of the room, which would probably make it the door to the other tower. A second door lies to the South western corner. Also inside the room are 2 lizardmen, both of them wearing furs, bones, and other assorted trinkets. No doubt some kind of shamans*. The one closest to the altar speaks in a thick accent "Sssso you have come to ssssurrender your livessss. How ssssad!"
IF lizardmen wins initiative:

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
Gar quickly closes the gap and engages in melee with the lizardman who spoke, much to its surprise. Adding to the surprise is how the creature's spell had no effect on the rogue, combined with the realization of what that means causes its slitted eyes to widen. The second Lizardman chants more words in casting a spell and the groups feels like a weigh of badluck just fell on their shoulders. The now bleeding lizardman swings his mace at Gar snarling.

Re: (Pathfinder) Against the Ogres
With the mighty swing by Thruffgar, the fast arrows of Zed, and the quick and decisively deadly jab of Gar the lizardmen all slump to the floor dead life's blood leaking out forming a pool near the altar. The gathering pool leads your eyes to a a small chest behind the altar, which does not radiate chaos nor evil. Obret happens to find a trip wire of sorts on the chest, and motions Gar over to handle the trap. Gar easily disarms the trap and inside finds 180 silver peices and a scroll with the arcane spells Magic Missile and Knock on it, as well as a scroll with the divine spell Augury. Both at Caster level 3. Putting your ears up to the southern door you hear the following "Tell us where the orb is, or we'll teach you what suffering is!' Somebody else, in obvious pain replies, "Never! Do with me as you like. I'll tell you nothing! AAAGGGHHH!!"
