If brute force isn't working, that just means you're not using enough of it.

    First place: The Draconian
Okay, so Draconians are an actual race in Dragonlance, but still. I love the feel. My only complaints are the SR gets up too high (level+15 is a LOT) and for being a frontliner it probably gets too many skills. I'd either go with the skills or the casting, not both. A close round, but this class is fairly well rounded so it wins out my judging.

    Second place: The Wyrm
I like the flavor, I like it a lot, but the abilities just come across all out of balance. Some mean nothing, and some are vastly overpowered and understated. This class has a lot of potential, I'd be happy to see a future revision. All in all though, the more unique flavor juuuust squeaked you into second.

    Third place: The Dracoleptor
While I like the feel, it felt a little one-dimensional. The breath weapon, some spellcasting, and oh hey look you automatically know where treasure is. That won't be abused at all, nosirree. Also, that breath weapon deals a LOT of damage. Easily boardwipe. Some adjustment and you'd be in a really good place, so don't give up on this class.

    Honorable Mention: The Dragoon [Dragon?]
The draconic connection was too much of a stretch to make the top 3, sorry. Nice class though, I like dragoons.

Now if only everyone else will hold off judging until Monday night, so I can get some fluff text in...

    First place: Wyrm
It is quite a cool class even through it is a bit overkill for a low op party it will fit well when compared to medium optimization party with casters or when compared to mythos classes.
Maybe there should be suggestions on how to tone it down?
    Second place:Cultist of Tiamat
I like rituals a lot and the casting on that class is definitively interesting.
Now I would like to see a list of spells(if there was one I might have placed that class higher)
    Third place: the Draconian.
The concept is simple and straightforward: make a dragon disciple(or whatever was called that core prc) on 20 levels and it is done well.
    Honorable mention:The Dracoleptor:
I do not like very much the way it is written(I can not exactly find what I do not like about this class) but it seems to have some potential.
Maybe what makes it feel wrong to me is that it looks like a bard but with more skills and less awesomeness.

1st: The Draconian; This was a well-polished class with a clear use of theme that accomplishes its game role with a few very nifty abilities (I'm especially fond of the idea of Con to AC for a lightly-armored melee class).

2nd: The Wyrm; While I think this class has a ton of potential, it has an excessive amount of resource management and several of its abilities felt a little rough.

3rd: The Cultist of Tiamat; Use of theme was what ultimately pushed this class over the edge for me, but the concept for the class feels too narrow for a base class and many of the class' features are very underwhelming (I'm looking at you Chromatic Blast and Chromatic Resistance)

1-Cultist of Tiamat: Because DRAGONS! I'm always a fan of playing the BBEG as a player.
2-Dracocleptor: I love the idea of the dragon beguiler. And breath weapon sneak attack is beautiful.
3-Draconian: While mechanically everything I would want as a player trying to be a dragon, and done well. Its to vanilla, Irony I was literally going to do very similar thing before wyrm.

I loved the dragon, but unfortunately I couldn't justify voting a on the Cadillac in the monster truck rally.

Thumbs up Re: Base Class Contest XXXXVI: Dungeons And...You Get The Idea Voting Thread

    1st - Cultist of Tiamat

Most of the classes I read on this list had little discernible flavor text on exactly how the powers were obtained. This class made the most sense to me.

    2nd - Draconian

I love the look and structure of the whole thing. Bit concerned about the DR but I imagine a world in which an adventure can learn this sorcery while wandering around probably has a *lot* of magic.

    3rd - Dragon

Great pun. I know it's just a fighter with a few modified features but if anything that gives me a little more trust in the balance of the whole thing.

    Honorable Mention - Wyrm

I just couldn't understand the source of the power. Are they binding dragon souls? Do they bathe in dragon blood? Also, the description text is very much at odds with the proficiencies section.

1: Cultist of Tiamat. Had the most solid class for balance, usability and creativeness. I enjoy the casting system and the ability to barter with dragons. Great fluff and I could see this class working quite well as antagonists or a PC.

2: Dracocleptor: Interesting concept of a roguish dragon class I feel it has an overall solid set of abilities and enough options with it's spells and breath to be a fairly fun character to play on par with the likes of a Dragonfire Adept.

3: Wrym. I like the mechanics and options of this class the best but it has some serious balance issues. 7th level auto demoralize anyone within range basically means that with a moderate amount of optimization and imperious command anyone within that aura is cowering forever. Let alone their automatic 30ft cone of the skill at level 1. Plus they get EPIC LEADERSHIP AT 13th!?!?! And the ability to have their leadership score equal their intimidate bonus? Skills can be boosted sky high and at 13th level you can easily have level 20 "Followers" around you with this feature.

Several other abilities are worded a bit unclearly and the class has a bunch of cool mechanics spread over ~4 different sections. If the class was cleaned up and underwent some heavy rebalancing it would of easily taken top slot for me.

    Apologies everyone for the delay!

1st Place: Dracoleptor - a nice spin on the classic "becoming a dragon".

2nd Place: The Wyrm - a huge effort!

3rd Place: Cultist of Tiamat - Potential abuse but it's high time PCs had the chance to join the other team ;D
