That was the moment I decided MitD was my favorite.
The best that wasn't a gag, though, is the splash panel at the end of Hel Polls for TheeAwesome avatar (Kothar, paladin of Tlacua) by Linkele!

Coolness wise-the battle with durkula, from beginning to an end (especially now that I can read everything at once) is magnificent. perfect buildup, expectation subversion, great action, and a moving ending.
Emotions-everything that happens in the pyramid from durkon's death until after Elan's speech.
Other cool stuff-The Familicde will always give me chills, and Im always a sucker for a good speech (Elan's at azure city, Xykon's power monologue, RC's undead monologue, and Elan's hope speech in the pyramid)
