Do I see any runes I don't recognize in this one?

Luckily, you've become very accustomed to the trials of this place. You are able to eventually discern the runes you pressed in the last room, although it takes about 10 minutes.

I give those a try.

What happens?

[Deadlykire]

As you press all the runes, they glow green and all the other runes fade. You can feel a strong current pulling you towards the floor.

(you'll need athletics/swim checks to move. I'm willing to roll them for you with your permission. It'll be 1 every 15'. You've traveled 75'.)

[Deadlykire]

As you try and swim away, you are pinned to the floor. The current is too great for you to overcome. You struggle for several seconds, fighting against it before you are able to break free. You manage to swim 60' towards the entrance, almost making it out before you are sucked back 15' down the small tunnel. You continue to fight the current, thankfully able to breath underwater all this time, until you eventually make it out several seconds later. You end up on the beginning platform, exhausted from your several minute swim against the current. As you regain your energy, you notice that the previously closed door has swung open and the light turned green. Beyond the door you can see a small campfire flickering, it's light reflected in yet another pool of water in the far corner.

Deon stops to breathe for a few seconds, not because he wasn't getting any breath in the water, but because of the effort he just went to.

Then, he walks through the door (probably still breathing heavily) with one hand on his belaying pin.

Is there anyone sitting at the fire?

The room is empty except for the fire and water. You do notice that the fire has made this room warm, and you begin to slowly dry off.

I let myself get more than halfway dry, however long that takes, and then go take a look at the pool.

[Deadlykire]

It looks like a pool of water. With the fire light, you can clearly see the bottom and all the edges.

[whiteflash]

I raise my eyebrows, and look around for any way out of the room other than the passage I entered through.

If I don't see any, I look under the fire to see if it's blocking any way out of the room.

[Deadlykire]

There are no other passages. You carefully try to peer under the fire, and don't see anything. Further inspection would risk harming yourself.

I let myself dry off completely, and see if that accomplishes anything.

[Deadlykire]

You feel much better now that you are dry. The fire's warmth helps the sensation of feeling better.

I dip my finger into the pool to taste it. As far as I can tell, is it ordinary water?

[Deadlykire]

It is ordinary water. As you taste it, you are reminded of the pool that lead you into this challenge.

I smile and jump in.

[Deadlykire]

As you jump in, your feet hit the bottom. You are completely submerged in water, and in that instant you find yourself standing on the floor of a new room. In front of you is a very familiar pedestal. As you watch, the runes on it glow brightly, then fade one by one in a counter clockwise fashion. They remain dark. As you survey the room it is triangular in shape. You stand at the longest wall. In the corner opposite of you, there stands a door. The legs of the triangle are 15'.

I take a quick look to see if the door appears open or unlocked, and then walk over to the pedestal to see if there's anything written on it this time.

The door is unlocked, yet closed. As you return to the pedestal, the runes begin to glow again. They again follow their sequence of dimming one at a time and then staying off. There is no tablet floating in the water this time. In fact, the basin seems dry.

If I decide to memorize the runes and what order they glow in now, and spend as long as I need to until I'm absolutely sure I've got it down, can I take 10 or 20 on the roll to remember them later?

[Deadlykire]

(No, but I would say that it reduces any future DCs related to it by at least 5, perhaps more depending on how you go about your studying.)

I look over each glyph in turn, making sure to note the order in which they glow.

After I think I've got it, I close my eyes and try to remember the glyphs (and the order they glow in) in order to make sure. Then I open my eyes to check my progress.

You are able to memorize the glyphs in order within 20 minutes. However, due to the constant fading and timing, it takes you another 20 minutes (40 total) to identify each glyph with its respective color.

I nod and leave through the door.

[Deadlykire]

As you leave through the door, you find yourself in a 5' wide hallway that is about 15' long. On the far side you can make out a doorway, with no door.

[whiteflash]

I keep walking through the doorway with one hand on my belaying pin.

[Deadlykire]

You find yourself in a very small room, only 10'x10'. There is a doorway, with no door, in each corner of the room. There is a hall directly in front of you going NW. There are 2 more halls besides the one you entered through. The first hall runs due East. The second due South.

Which direction am I facing? The reason I ask is that I don't see much reason not to go back to the "right hand path" rule.
