Default What's a good reference strip for flowy upswept hair?

In the picture I'm working on, there's statue of a mermaid with her hair flowing up and behind her. I know where to find reference strips for mermaid tails, and I'm certain that somewhere in the vast repertoire of OOTS there's a gravity-defying hairdo I can model off of, but I can't think where it would be.

Okay, in lieu of reference strips, I'll ask a different question:

Here's my current attempt at the mermaid statues (only halfway carved, of course). Does it look decent? Which bits work and which bits need work? What am I supposed to do with the hair?

I actually think that the hair looks really good the way you already have it- nice work!
