    More a behind the scenes peek to indicate to the players that things aren't quite as random as they seem, with an included mechanic for letting the characters in on it.

    I've been in a crummy mood lately, and I'm sorry if it's been spilling over into my writing tone. The usual end of the year stress for an English teacher who knows that the students never took the assigned reading or the writing projects seriously and will now have to pay the Piper, has run into the stress of the start of Ramadan this year. Plus, my son is now old enough to flunk his finals too.

    I think my laptop survived getting wet. I'll try running it for an extended period tomorrow and hope it doesn't short out or fry me.

    Current opponent roster and situation recap:
    8 zombie squirrel
    1 undead hobgoblin
    2 fire skeletons
    1 undead kangaroo
    1 undead owlbear
    A barrels worth of zombie herring (harmless)

    4 horses are slightly wounded
    The npcs are ducking under the wagon

    The road South of the party is on fire as the recently fallen undead hickory is burning.
    The other wagons are South beyond this. And are not currently on fire.

    The pink egg has been smashed.
    The other eggs Currently forgotten pending undead.

    OK, here is a bit of gm reckoned and imposed order. Moved some things around to make the actions fit and initiative easier. I'll edit in Yellowjacket in a minute.

    The undead hobgoblin will be attacking Laewen, who will notice the movement and may shoot it.

    A fire skeleton will be going after Bai-hu. He may countercharge if he likes, but it is burning bones so he may not want too.
    Samduke, you may post responses, then I'll roll for the monsters if they aren't down.

    YellowJacket might interfere with the owlbear attacking. We'll see when her player comes back on.


    Laerwen: 27] Holding pending threat.
    Stinder 26 holding, probably needs a round to get within melee.

    She shoots, she cirts.

    The fire skeleton will be within 30 ft of L next round. If she doesn't mind taking some fire damage to help Pepper and Bai-hu we can just apply the manuever rolls you already made.

    Pepper and Bai-hu take damage from the fire aura. The wagon will be on fire soon if the fire skeletons are taken down soon.

    Elwin gets burned a bit and wacked for 10.

    for L saving those melee rolls for the fire guy that is fine

    as for bai-hu he was n total or (full defense) preotecting pepper so if the fire aura was area effect like fine
    if not then because bai-hu was total defense bai-hu' would get a +4 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round, and debatable if pepper would receive damage due to possible cover from bai-hu
    putting bai-hu's AC upto 26 i believe.
    then I will figure out actions for them once \I get that done

    It is a simple aoe . No save. Unless the cover is something like total from a stone wall it isn't effective.

    It is affecting the wagon and contents, but not the horses just out of range. It cooked the squirrels.

    The most expedient way of handling it is to just kill the fire skeleton.

    sure sure all good just was not sure if it was AOE... and when L goes melee she might just kill it.. now I will go actions for pepper and bai-hu remains in total defense mode.

    Let's see if I'm looking at this right,

    L can one shot the remaining fire skeleton, taking 2d6 fire damage in the process (aura + stiking with melee weapon), then, assuming it is close enough, dervish over and apply the other attacks to the owlbear...

    If this sounds right, then let's just do that. Then everyone can hang up on the owlbear.

    oh well only issue is the total distance i can move is 40ft, but yeah if owlbear is within 40ft it certainly sounds like a plan to me

    My leg isn't broken, at least as far as I can tell. I'm sitting at a mall Burger King waiting for my wife to pick me up.

    The phone frame is bent, so I hope the charger port still works. Screen isn't cracked.

    I need up belly deep in a stromdrain. Pride is hurt as much as the leg.

    Pepper didn't have to go far to look at the tree. It is a huge burning tree after all. She is still in medium spell/mounted charge range of the skeletons.

    L needs to resist 2 grapple checks.

    That will do it.
    Necrogenerative arrow. A nasty weapon on battlefields. Animates all available corpses with a set distance on impact, when the creature struck by the arrow dies, and when the arrowhead is exposed to light after killing. It can effectively restart a battle days, weeks, years later. Might end up animating all the dead in the hospital or mortuary when the the arrow is removed as medical treatment or funeral perpetration.

    not sure what has occured overall but it seems this has possibly died, last post IC & OOC by me 5-22 -
