Antigone politely explains that she is a diplomat-explorer-adventurer from another hive, that her and her hive mean them no harm, and that she would be very interested in talking to whoever is in charge (or just these ants if such a person does not exists) about both hives (although never divulging Vannethia's location.)

Sorry about that. The chances of getting two depowering failures in a row (as opposed to just not gaining power, or actually succeeding) is about 1/100, so it definitely isn't Antimony's fault.

Are the treehoppers not getting fed this round? They may die if you do not feed them, and plants will take a few turns to grow.

    Turn 6: Klaffet

    Actions
    -Research Power
    -Gather food
    -Feed treehopper nymphs
    -Plant seeds in your plot

    Antitan helps gather food.

Dave and Theoanta get excited to help with skill research, but then skill research doesn’t end up happening. They help Antimony and Zektak with their ideas instead.

Antimony, Zektak, Theoanta, and Dave do some experiments on the Power Source. They discover, after many tries, a new method of researching power that will prevent catastrophic failures. Now, no matter how low you roll, a failure won’t do anything worse than not give you more power.

JoJoAnt finds massive success in augmenting his physical abilities with Life magic, finding that he can use it to strengthen his muscles and chitin for a great boost to his strength and toughness. He also finds that practicing his fighting skills tires him out far less than normal, and he might be able to keep going for days without food or rest.

Fiona wants to go south, but south of the Great Tree is the stream, and she can’t figure out how to cross it. She very nearly falls in at one point.

Antigone approaches the new ants, trying to be as polite and non-threatening as possible.
One ant starts speaking. “I don’t think we know you. What hive are you from?”
“Don’t worry, I don’t mean any harm. Where am I?”
    “Tell us your hive first.”
“…fine. My home hive is called Vannethia.”
“Do all the ants there look like you, with the gold stripes?”
    “Yes, now where am I?”
“We call this place Klaffet. We wove it from leaves.”
Antigone looks around at the huge structure. It does seem to be woven from leaves, held together by silk. It takes the shape of a rough sphere, with several smaller lobes at strange angles where leaves didn’t quite fit together. Small red ants are crawling in and out of every gap in the leaves.
    “May I go in?”
The other ants lead Antigone into the strange hive, which looks to be laid out on the inside much like your own.
Immediately, Antigone notices something on a raised leaf platform in the center. It is a Power Source, much like your own. However, there are two major differences: its glow is not golden, but instead a reddish orange like the heads of the ants here - and it is not an orb at all, but instead has corners. It is a shape which Antigone cannot name, with as many corners as she has legs, and more sides than it has corners.
An ant notices Antigone looking at the Power Source.
“Yes, that is what gives us our power. Do you have one in Vannethia?”
“Not one like that, no… ours is quite different.”
Antigone spends the turn in Klaffet.

    Research Power
    Success! Power +4

    Gather food
Success! Food +6 as a large, edible plant is discovered in the undergrowth.

    Feed treehopper nymphs
They are fed, and kept from hopping away. Also, they molt for the first time. Molting is a fascinating thing that you’ve never seen before, where their outer layer comes off and a slightly bigger version of the nymph comes out. It makes as much sense as any way to grow if you don’t metamorphose, you suppose.

    Plant seeds
With your new growing abilities, you plant seeds and transplant small sprouts from the undergrowth into your previously laid-out crop plot. The plants grow well, and water is in no shortage in the jungle. The plants will be harvestable in about three turns.

    Growing Skill Trait gained.
    2 food consumed
    +2 Size from Growth

Here are the Hive Stats as of turn 6:

    Vannethia, the Golden Horde

    Size 22, Growth 2, Offense 4, Defense 4, Speed 4, Skill 6, Power 12
    Skill Research 6/15
    Power Research 12/15
    Food 10/20

    Colony
Power Chamber- Holds your Power Source. Actions can be spent to do Research on the source to unlock new Power Traits.
Central Hive- Includes the Queen's chamber, the resting areas, and the central tunnel leading to the surface. All other sections of the Colony branch off from here.
Soldier Warren- Soldiers rest and train here, located higher up along the central tunnel to allow early reaction to attacks on the Hive.
Food Storage- Can currently hold 20 food.
Pit Traps- Protective traps dug around the entrance.
Watch Posts- Regular patrols of the immediate area are based out of these.
Treehopper Nymphs- You have 1 size of recently-hatched treehopper nymphs. Feeding them requires either a hive action or 3 hero actions until you figure out a way to stop them from leaving.
Garden Plot- You have planted seeds and transplanted sprouts here, which will be grown and usable in 3 turns.

    Discoveries
Power Source- A perfect, bright golden orb that emits strange magical energies, located in your Power Chamber. Allows you to research Power. You now know how to avert the effects of failure during research, so even a critical failure won’t cause anything bad to happen.
Great Tree- The colony is built underneath an enormous, beautiful tree, larger than those around it and surrounded by undergrowth. The entrance to your colony is between two of its roots, with the main trunk to the north of the entrance. Apparently has the potential to boost magic effects using your Life powers.
Treehoppers- Small creatures that look like leaves at a distance and move around by jumping. They live high on the tree, as well as on the smaller plants around it, where they drink sap by piercing the plant with their mouthparts. They secrete a sweet fluid sometimes.
You have now discovered that baby treehoppers (nymphs) look exactly like smaller adults, unlike ant larvae, and molt periodically.
Walking Sticks- The other type of insect that lives on your tree, these are far larger than you or the treehoppers and are indistinguishable from sticks while they stand still.
Stream- Wider across than the length of a hundred ants, this stream is south of the Great Tree. It flows from west to east, and was discovered to turn northward after a while by Fiona and Antigone. You have now marked its banks with pheromones.
New discoveries by Antigone show that it flows northeast for quite some time, farther than a turn’s journey.
Sloth- An enormous creature that is located in a neighboring tree. It has four limbs with three claws on each, gray-green fur, and does not like to move very much.
Klaffet- Another hive of ants that live in a tree far to the north-northeast. Antigone is the only one to know about them or have interacted with them, but she has actually talked to them and gone into the hive. It is a roughly spherical mass of leaves woven together with silk, and it is inhabited by small red ants. They have a Power Source, which is red-orange and is not a sphere.

    Biological Traits
Appearance: You used to look like most other ants, with black chitin and three rings of golden yellow around the abdomen.
After gaining Life powers, your black chitin has started to turn more towards green. Your golden stripes, however, remain unaffected.
Swarm- Doubles the outcome of an action, positive or negative. 3 turn cooldown.

    Skill Traits
Rudimentary Tools- Some workers have begun using small objects (sticks, rocks, etc) as tools to help them work more effectively.
Growing- You can plant and grow seeds, and then harvest the plants.

    Power Traits
Life (lesser) - You have an increased rapport with the growth and form of the life around you - and this jungle is teeming with life. You gain a 50% bonus to all food gathered or produced.

    Hero Traits
Strengthen Self- Using your Life powers, you can strengthen your chitin and muscles to double your Attack or Armor, or gain a 50% bonus to both. Currently exclusive to JoJoAnt.
Untiring- Thanks to your Life power, you can go for extended periods of time without food or rest. Currently exclusive to JoJoAnt.

    Heroes - In Hive
    JoJoAnt: Soldier - Health 6, Attack 3, Armor 2, Speed 2, Skill 1, Power 1
    Ant-Eye Aircraft Weaponry: Power Seeker - Health 5, Attack 1, Armor 1, Speed 3, Skill 2, Power 3
    Antimony: Power Seeker - Health 5, Attack 1, Armor 1, Speed 3, Skill 2, Power 3
    Fiona: Speedster - Health 5, Attack 2, Armor 1, Speed 4, Skill 2, Power 1
Dave Foreici Espimoda: Pit Boss - Health 6, Attack 1, Armor 2, Speed 2, Skill 3, Power 1
    Antitan: Guardian - Health 8, Attack 1, Armor 3, Speed 1, Skill 1, Power 1
    Theoanta: Generalist - Health 6, Attack 2, Armor 2, Speed 2, Skill 2, Power 1
    Zektak: Power Seeker - Health 5, Attack 1, Armor 1, Speed 3, Skill 2, Power 3

    Heroes - Outside Hive
    Antigone: Speedster - Health 5, Attack 2, Armor 1, Speed 4, Skill 2, Power 1 - Klaffet, 2 turns travel north-northeast

Zektak experiments with the power of Life near the orb, trying to see what options are available with this newfound power. In his experiments, he uses seeds, fruits, branches, leaves, flowers, sap, food, other ants, ant eggs, water and whatever other researcher ants think is useful for life power.

Edit: Will the plants grow without attending them? Or do we need to spend actions for "gardening"?

Dave suggests to Zektak that perhaps the molted husks might be something worth experimenting with, but focuses on some of that skill research as while he wants untiring, he doesn't plan on leaving the hive any time soon.

Antigone floats the prospect of an alliance with the Klaffetenese (The details should be determined by the rest of the hive)

    It's just "Klaffese", actually.
The Greatest Threads Of GiantITP (in my opinion):
A story of the exact wrong way to run a campaign.
The best thread derailment of all time.
The "canonical" list of Mostly Useless Magic Items.
    A ridiculous campaign.

But see, that defeats the purpose of the boycott and defiance!

I doubt anyone has any objective feelings about the name one way or another, but due to your earlier correction of kinglinus1, suddenly people can be contrary for the sake of contrarianism, and in such a way that it doesn't have any influence on how much we appreciate and respect you.
