Nothing springs to mind except the potential IC language problems, but those are called out pretty plainly in both threads. So far the military man Piet is the only named character who doesn't share Spanish.

Can anyone interested make a history check to determine how much they know of the situation in Granada so far?

Results for Tall tale: While such histories fail to reach respected historians in the west many great campfire stories are set on the island. It was an attempted target of multiple colonial missions but each was driven off by an unusually martial group of Caribs. That was until thirty years ago when a French colonial effort came better armed and defeated them, the survivors committing ritual suicide rather than becoming slaves, the islands remain uncolonised, as that French mission was lost to disease but now many eyes are looking to take advantage of the islands empty status.

My last two IC posts have included how some sailors act. To be clear, I don't claim that I should be controlling their actions and I won't make any mechanically significant decisions. I just want to show an interactive world, which is hard to accomplish in PbP unless everyone's posting several times a day.

And even though no one ever seems to take me up on this offer, I'm making it anyway: You're free to put your hand in my puppet. If you want to write that Rattlebone says or does a particular thing, go right ahead, there's no need to check with me first. That may sometimes make posting simpler or more immersive.

I am fine with this, immediate and minor reactions from the world are one of the things that are much harder to achieve in PbP so I think its a good thing for players to make such decisions, I reserve the right to reverse them especially for named characters but feel free to make them.

To ensure the game never slows down to much, I would like to make just the essential rolls. Saving throws against active dangers, initiative, things like that. Is everybody fine with this?

I'm not just fine with it, I prefer it.

Taking 10 on a Profession or Survival roll to help with the crabbing would not turn out well for me, given my -1 modifier. So whichever skill it is, here's a roll, which I'll describe IC: (d20-1)[2]

If I can put forth a humble suggestion, JbeJ275, having all PCs acting at the same initiative count helps fluidify combats rounds. It allows any player to post at any time during the battle as soon as one's got the time to make a post, rather than having to wait for the players before to actually act. Or maybe PCs can put their planned actions under spoiler if they're available to make a post before their PC's initiative count.

Dammit, Im an idiot. Forgot to clarify something.

If you got higher than the crocodile, you go before the crocodile and if you roll lower you go after. However between players, the initiative order does not matter. I meant to clarify this earlier but evidently forgot.

So basically, everyone but Rattlebone and Sophie go now, then the crocodile, then all of you.

The thing is, two people chose an initiative related flaw. If I were to remove the initiative system Ild have to remove that flaw and this ask them to remove a feat. The above is a sort of compromise system where choosing that flaw does have an impact but after round 1 all players should still act together.

Fair point. One way around this, is to make an averaged Initiative roll for the group of the PCs, thus taking into account the bonuses and maluses of each on Initiative check, and then to do the same for the monsters. However, the way you laid it out works just fine too :)

Yeah, pretty much true. I've had a problem with mold in the air conditioner at least four times in the last three summers. And I mean different units -- I've had to throw them out because they proved uncleanable. Clearly there's something in my bedroom that's causing the problem, because it doesn't happen to my family or at my workplace. I'm pretty freaked out.

EDIT: Time to get ready for work now. I'll think about what to do with Rattlebone's free time and (I hope) make a good post tonight.

So just to clarify, who if anyone will initially be sharing Otas story and powers? I was waiting to see if anyone would note what parts of the story they were telling and what was being kept secret.

To clarify, the stuff in the earlier post about your story was your as in the entire crew, as in others were telling thier stories. You can join in fully or leave out information if you want to. Im also interested in seeing who pays attention to the stories of other groups as they did find a couple of interesting things.
