I believe I'm coming back now. I hope that this isn't just a temporary reprieve because the weather cooled off, given that we'll return to crazy temperatures on Saturday. This week has seen more problems than a blues-singing mobster, and I just haven't been able to post significantly.

I didn't understand this, but now I'm amused at the thought of reviling the parents and grandparents of major entertainers.

MORE EDIT: I thought I'd have a chance to be more proactive IC today, but I'm fading fast. These last few days, sleep has hit me like an intercontinental ballistic pillow. So, maybe tomorrow?

Ubirajara was cursed so the sun burn his eyes and skin, making him very unconfortable and moody at sunlight (also reason he called it a sun of a...).

This disconfort is how i decided to roleplay the Daylight Sensitivity he got from being duergar, explained as the curse the elder of his tribe bestowed upon him for poisoning his beloved one, the baby she was carrying and her husband. He planned to kill the husband only though.

Edit: as for sharing info, he'll share their exploration on the island but wont share his own powers nor his former life as a pirate. He'll listen to any story shared after sunset.

Ready for the next prompt, I would guess. Which could be an encounter or just an extension of the free-play period.

You know the island of Dominica was named as such because it was garunteed to the Dominican Order, a group of Catholic monks and clerics. They have largely left it to the native people but built small outposts there and are attempting to convert them. The natives are often settling here when espoused from other islands, and have proven susceptible to conversion with many beginning to adopt some elements of a European lifestyle.

I need to apologise at this point, I volunteered to try and do this but I was majorly in over my head. Iím inexperienced but I apologise for raising your hopes. However as must confess that Iím still not cut out to DM any game without a plot set out in advance, I have only vauge ideas for long term plots and no idea at all how to guide you into them without straight up railroading, I can vaguely do filler but find it sort of pointless without some definitive idea about how to get you onto some sort of long term plot without stating that youíre on it now. I havenít really GMíd a successful game yet and one this freeform and open was the wrong place to start. Even though itís pretty dead at this point I need to formally let go of this game.

No fault to any of you of course, youíre great players with fun interesting characters and Iím just a little disappointed I couldnít give you a better world to explore in.

I'm sorry to hear that, but DMing can take a lot out of you.

On that topic, however, who is still around? I would be willing to continue this game for us, but first I want to make sure we still have at least 3 players that would be active in it. (I would be moving from a player to DM)

I still exist. I got a big shock here on GitP about a week ago, and every time I considered logging in since then, I stressed out so bad it was no longer entertainment. I'm getting over it (with many thanks to the plasticity of the human mind). So count me as a Player Who Is Still Here.

Considering there are 4 players in the game and we started with 5, would people like to recruit one more? Or are we good with the OG 4 for now?
