Re: Not-So-Mith'd Opportunity: Random Banter # 222
I am older then I look. I had a few more antlers until they broke when fighting for my herd.
Has any one seen my jar of anti-protons or my cyclotron of positrons?

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.

Would that method of learning that skill count as "research" or "practice?"

Re: Not-So-Mith'd Opportunity: Random Banter # 222
That used to be true, but nowadays it's much more complicated. Google (as well as other modern search engines) will detect that you're asking a question, and will try to find results which answer that question rather than contain it. In fact, if your original query turns up a lot of false positives, rephrasing it as a question might improve the quality of your results.
Of course, search engines have come a long way in these past 10 years.
Research. Practice requires that you already have an idea about the theory of the skill.Clouddreamer Teddy by me, high above the world, far beyond its matters...

Re: Not-So-Mith'd Opportunity: Random Banter # 222
Regardless of search engine and its technicalities, in the days of partisan media, is there a tried and true scheme or pattern in how one can research a topic without being tricked by fake news or skewed reporting? I often read up on topics from a supposed neutral-ish source, and yet they are just LESS partisan than other, INCREDIBLY biased sources.
Basically I talk about politics and world news, not something more methodical like science (though science news is a topic for a different time: https://smbc-comics.com/comic/2009-08-30 ).

I wish this Forum have a TV show. It's should be called Giant In The Playground Forum: The Early Years. This TV show will be just like Riverdale. So what do you think of my idea?

Surely I'm ugly enough to balance it out
What's this nonsense about us Tieflings getting bonuses to Cha anyway, I'm clearly not that pretty! +2 INT -2 CHA baby! I refuse to confirm or deny the rumours about my slightly above average charisma in real life. Or my somewhat below average dexterity.

I use braces (also known as "curly brackets") to indicate sarcasm. If there are none present, I probably believe what I am saying; should it turn out to be inaccurate trivia, please tell me rather than trying to play along with an apparent joke I don't know I'm making.
