    • Following through with their intents to establish friendly relations with their neighbour in the Simulacrum, closed doors between the Melfynians and Mier Formicas have the former, with much fanfare, welcoming the the first of their neighbours to Melfynus for a survey to set up an embassy on the icy waterlogged planet. It is hoped that the two peoples would be able to better understand one another to better cooperate as they advance in the galactic race. The details of their treaty however still remains unknown to the rest of the general populace.
    • In order to appease the traditionalists and naysayers, Rundhrul and Meyls both powered by their excitement of the opportunities it would bring work tirelessly to spread the idea that the Grymlans' hub on their planet will be great for their own place in the galaxy. At least it would be better for the various clusters of Melfynus, some unreachable as they work towards their own Rastar's interests, to be able to coordinate for the planets interests better. Some Rastars have already taken the opportunity to get minihubs of their own for a "trial run" to better spread their responsibilities towards their planet and people.
    • Kimdt starts an initiative to send interested Melfynians to friendly if not allied powers to learn of the other cultures, people, language, etc. This has been fully supported by Rundhrul who says "we need to take our own fate, no, our destiny into our own hands without the interference of the Ancients!" Rundhrul especially has put efforts into recruiting linguists and some tech nerds for this endeavor.
    • While much too far for their opinion to matter, the Melfynians led by Rundhrul did not miss the opportunity to admonish the reckless actions of the Rothuun towards the Sisterhood with the leader making the heroic Borch the posterboy of the movement; the scene of the Harkan trashing the bulls' former leader in the face being replayed over and over as it was spread throughout the galaxy with the message "the uneducated and the unprepared shouldn't try to rush their way into something they know nothing about." In order to show their support for the only entity they felt were now their best shot at reigning in the threat of the core, the Melfynians sent two clusters of volunteers to assister the Sisterhood while also specifically making it a point to show that the Rothuun may be in for another shocking surprise should they persist with their aggressive actions.

    - The Dream children are too young they do not understand what they have heard. Some view it as a sign of us. Another sign we are on the right track.

    Mount Vispim- We watch the Dream children of Moigan from on high. The first large villages are starting to appear across the surface of the planet. We count 102 locations with more than 500 residents. We are proud of our children and we keep our whispers to a minimal for now as they are incapable of understanding yet.

    Addendum:
    No major change. They have built a temple of uncut rock where they place nourishment they sorely need for themselves. We inform them they must consume it themselves in our whispers and think of us while they do so. It will forge a connection. We really just didn't want them wasting food. Starvation remains a problem.

    Mount Kdoim- We weep for the Xawaq. They have experianced many wars in the past but this is the largest and we hear them dying in our minds. It is painful to know that they are too young and misinterpret the will of our words. When we speak to them in their minds it makes them believe they are even more righteous and that they must be right. Currently 3 nations are embroiled in constant conflict... We know we must not interfere but it hurts us so to hear their minds scream. They did nothing with the whispers coming from our dreamers. Such is the way. We will continue to watch.

    The war continues. The war might soon end one race has adapted a new technology proving effective... They fire large arrows via an item they call a ballista. It is carving through their own kind and creating fear.

      Tavey Brightspanner floated infront of project GiftBasket in a space suit, intensely concentrating as he finished painting the flourish to the end of "Upup your Assbutts" when his comlink crackled to life.

      "Tavey, I have some concerns about this craftprint." The voice was of Buli Linemaker, lead craftmaker and organizer for the project. "Talkytalk arrays near central hub have been fixrigged as zapprojectors not talkyvox. Also, bay twelve is armstashed with bigbang bombs."

      It was true that on any Grymlan that upgrades, retrofits, fixes, and experimental tech often got folded into the final design of any project regardless of if it needed it or not. "Well, Rothuum are bigbig aliens, I figured we splurge on bigbig bombs."

      There was a groan from Buli, "You dimbulb! GiftBasket goes to Melfynians, not Rothuums!"

      There was some thoughtful silence from Tavey before he asked, "Is there a difference?"

      "Yes!" There was an audible slap over the comlink as Buli facepalmed. "Melfynians friendlyfriends, they need maxenergy talkytalk array, not lazerdoom death array!"

      "... oh..."

      "yes-yes. Lookhear, we delay launch, and you and your craftmakers disarm Giftbasket. No death arrays, just talkytalk hub."

      Tavey's body, despite being in the weightless of space, sagged at the revelation, he then perked back up. "Bigbig bombs take longtime to remove. How about we fixrig them with sparkleblasts?"

      There was silence on the other end before Buli said, "this... is acceptable, fixrig it quickquick."

      Slowly, Tavey struck through the phrase he had been painstakingly working on as he brought his team upon the comlink, "Oy, up and up, we got workwork to do. Major fixrig, less death, more talk and sparkles!"

    • Grymlans across the Combine watch with baited breath as a probe designed by a newly founded Luminary Search Directive launches a homemade casserole into Homesun. Will Homesun react to this gift? Is Homesun a Luminary? Theories run rampant.
    • A new cartoon becomes famous among the Combine called "Jeejee and Friends vs the Galaxy," its a happy upbeat adventure romp involving charactures of the various races that the real Jeejee has met. Recent episodes have involved Jeejee, adventurer extrodinaire, fighting the Uber-mech-spider-droids of Mongo the Merciless who was invading the Droccen Empire under the newly cround Princess Sea's. Joining her on her quest were the two proud, yet bumbling, Lyraen and Vacio warriors Oof and Jack along with Mr. Wiggles the Rocthurhi, and occasionally butting horns with Zur, the angry Rotthun who has troubles expressing his emotions, but is really just a nice guy underneath it all.
    • Inspiration 3's launch is short lived. Rejiggering the power couplings for more power consumption did not in fact cause the ship to explode, or tear a hole in some eldritch realm unleashing untold horrors that want to eat our toes, instead all ships functions ground to a halt as the modified GLD's power consumption overpowered the enhanced reactors causing most of the ship's systems to shut down.
    • Inspired by the Space King's antics a small number of Grymlans have left Cloudysea for Neo Citadel upon their barely functioning, retrofitted transport Darkship with GLD. With excessive exhuberance, they have been seen righting wrongs, which might have not been wrong, saving damsels, who may have not needed to be saved, flexing on their enemies, or anybody who happens to be handy, and having too much fun than is strictly legal.
    • Due to operation Gift Basket, supplies to the CmC relay have been slowed, stalling construction. With the successful launch of Giftbasket, Jeejee had redoubled efforts to try and finished the Relay's construction.
    • Having suddenly found themselves in control of Dregisles, the Combine is unsure how to progress with rulership of the region. Talks between the Humans, Grymlans, and Lopurna have so far not yielded anything concrete.

      Corperations of the Combine

      The government of the Grymlan Combine consists of several corperations that both coordinate with, and against, each other in deciding how the efforts of the Grymlan people are applied. The Corperations are patrons and financial backers to research, production, and distribution groups typically within a certain field of Grymlan life and their internal structure represents the same general structure of the Combine at large.

      As such, Leadership among the Grymlans is based on election, with canidates chosen both on their stance with the indivdual corperation and the needs of the Grymlan people as a whole. Unsurprisingly, corruption is not uncommon among Grymlans leaders. Corruption is expected by the general populace as long as it has reasonable limits. Leaders are expected to have their own personal projects they're working on as long as they meet the needs of the Grymlan people. Given the inquisitive nature of Grymlans as a whole, an the high profile nature of the leadership, Grymlan politicians tend to have Cat and Mouse games between themselves that the populace tends to keep abreast of as a form of entertainment. Should such a leader be deemed insufficent, whether by incompetence, corruption, or changing needs of the people, they can be voted out of their position by the Corperations under them (though the state in which they are voted out might dictate the terms of their severance).

      Some Corporations of the Combine.
      • Foodstuff Solutions: Headed by Abrigal Dirtpaw, Foodstuff Solutions represents many agricultural interests in the Combine. Their farms provide food to feed the Grymlan people as well as providing other materials to the other Corporations. Their labs work to improve existing crops while at the same time they are always on the look out for new potential products to grow and experiment with.
      • Max Zappyzap Projections: Lead by Dhaka Sparkthrower, Max Zappyzap Projections is the closest thing the Grymlans have to a security Corporation. In prior years they were an arms manufacturer who designed energy casters for Grymlan ships to protect them against space debris. They also did research into high energy release weapons that largely went unused (I mean of course you gotta set one off just to make sure it works, we didn't need that asteroid anyways) but did result in research with Arclight Power that provided the primary fission reactors that provide power to the Grymlan's cities and ships. Nowadays they serve as one of the military minded corporations expanding the Grymlan's knowledge of tactics and equipment as they are exposed to new races.
      • Arclight Power: Lead by Dayton Voltzap, Arclight Power serves the Grymlan's ever-growing need for power. They are the formost researchers in high energy fields and often looking for new elements or ways to use them alongside Max Zappyzap Projections.
      • Fluffyshine Grooming: Headed by Celise Dyedye, Fluffyshine Grooming provides cosmetics and grooming supplies to the Grymlans. Proper grooming, especially of their tails, is considered a necessity by the Grymlan populace. In addition Grymlans enjoy expressing themselves in a wide array of colors both in clothing and hair dye. Fluffyshine Grooming is the leader in what is new and chic by melding technology with fashion.
      • Farseeker Enterprise: Lead by Trevan Longhaul, Farseeker Enterprise focuses not only on exploratory sensors and shipping, but they also serve the Grymlan Combine with transporting goods between population centers. While they were not the designers of the Darkship concept, they have been diligently improving it, focusing on the ships abilities to operate on long haul deployments and improving on thruster designs.
      • Infrastructure Craftmakers: Lead by Bruk Dynacraft, Infrastructure Craftmakers maintains the infrastructure of Grymlan life whether it be the heat resistant domes of Wratheye or the various space stations orbiting the Cloudysea expanse. They support endeavors to build faster, cheaper, and more adaptable among hostile environments.
      • Truthytruth Communications: Lead by Leelee Sweettounge, Truthytruth Communications deals with data and communications between the Grymlan people and works alongside OwO, and they also host many news and entertainment channels.
      • Feelgood Incorperated: Lead by Vera Tailsnug, Feelgood Incorperated serves the healthcare needs of the Grymlans. The work to constantly push the boundaries of medicine and scientific enhancement.
      • Fringe Science Go!: Headed by Wexel Weirdlight, Fringe Sceince Go! explores theoretical scientific fields such as magic and psionics. With the introduction of aliens with these abilities they have seen a resurgance as of late.

    • Darkship Fleet Shinystar is retrofitted with the new GLD systems allowing for FTL travel. The fleet consists of one massive Crafthome-class carrier armed with heavy energy casters and capable of fielding multiple wings of Zippyzap fighter craft.     Recent reports across the OMS provided by Guardian to the many newly GLD equipped species carried news of discoveries of ancient Caller technology by multiple stellar powers, notably the nearby Conclave of the Black Sun who had recovered a Caller fragment from one of their lost treasure fleets. The Tal-Amanyn had been good neighbors to the Symbraum and it was UPT's desire to preserve this positive relationship with their nearest stellar neighbor. OMS communiques are thus sent to the Conclave informing them of UPT's intention to launch their own investigative expedition seeking another remnant of Caller technology alongside an offer to transfer whatever was discovered to Conclave stewardship in exchange for a promise to share whatever additional information would be garnered from its study. It was rumored that Caller technology was enhanced by proximity to other pieces of Caller hardware and while UPT was eager to learn more their internal analysis of risk had determined it was more desirable to observe the results from afar rather than performing experiments with unknown technology within the Symbraum's own sectors. Additionally it was known that the Conclave was eager to acquire Caller treasures so if UPT's transfer of whatever they recovered to Conclave hands could garner stronger positive relations between UPT and the Conclave all the better.

    Having made great strides in understanding the activation of the Sarcophagi Worlds' Geo-Glyphs, or rather avoiding their activation, small Symbraum infiltration teams have meticulously scoured the tomb worlds and disabled their long dormant defenses. Once it was clear there was no longer great risk of alien mummies rising up to tear scientists and colonists apart a new wave of larger teams made of xeno-archaeologists, xeno-biologists, and xeno-anthropologists land upon the desert worlds to begin a more intense study of the intricacies of the tomb designs, mummies, and wards placed on the desert planets. In a few short months SED and ARD researchers present to their superiors their mastery of the arcane power that animated the mummies. It appeared each sarcophagus was inscribed with unique but similar runes which when spoken in the proper way allowed the speaker to assume control of the mummy that lay within. The mummies themselves were like mindless drones, useless insofar as Breeding Division was concerned and failing to quell demands for more living brains back home, but promising in utility as drones. Robotics were something of a neglected science among the Symbraum who preferred sciences of the flesh, mind, and stellar phenomena so the articulation and precision made possible through remote operation of an alien mummy helped alleviate the lingering demands for more advanced robotics. If a Symbraum hosted by a lifeform could not be risked performing some dangerous task or did not wish to whittle away their life on repetitive mundane tasks a mummy could be directed or 'programmed' to perform the task in question instead. Though experiments in this realm were still in their preliminary stage ARD was excited by the prospects offered by this newfound resource.     At long last Kamasati representatives arrive in Yeon and the Xaldarian Expanse to begin speaking with high ranking members of the Transcendence Division regarding the maxims of the High Dreamer. The Symbraum were eager to learn this peculiar method of thought that placed each species of sufficient intellect within their own pantheon as gods tasked with enlightening and uplifting the Dream Children and defending them from Demons. In truth this thought was not greatly different than much of the cultural philosophy held by the Symbraum for nearly a century given their 'symbiotic' nature capable of uplifting simple animalistic or otherwise primitive minds to the realm of psionic manipulation and greater reasoning. The great psychic web had long existed among the Symbraum, though it was not then known as such, and so to expand this web out to encompass the Kamasati and other fellow disciples of the God-Mind was a satisfactory reward to the Symbraum who had long felt isolated by their superior nature to the more simplistic lifeforms they came to possess. After nearly two years of quiet consultation the head of TD, Brez Y'ett, alongside Director Zal M'ell jointly announce the formal adoption of Kamasati ideology as the new standard thought form to be adhered to throughout UPT holdings.

    • Leaked internal documents, whether truly leaked or distributed as some form of propaganda was unclear, share UPT opinions on various Stellar Powers elevated by Guardian at the Simulacrum:
      • Starting nearby the Conclave of the Black Sun appeared to be generally regarded as somewhat rigid but reliable and predictable neighbors. Concerns regarding the Tal-Amanyn were minimal as the UPT officials believed their neighbors would rather engage in diplomacy than jump for war, a very valuable trait in a neighbor. The Meritocracy was intriguing as its government clashed with its professed church but it was the church of Realtaism that had grown most powerful under the military dictatorship of the Marshals. UPT predictions put the chance for societal revolution, or counter-revolution as the Meritocracy would no doubt deem it, were high. The Kombuch were the last nearby stellar neighbor and were talked about sparingly and with either respect or curiosity within the leaked documents. Their ability to bond in a truly symbiotic if aesthetically ghastly form intrigued the Symbraum as did their purported psychic ability. Many notes were made of desire to experiment with the result of a Symbraum/Kombuch/Host hybrid and how that might affect the involved species.
      • Celestia Corporation broadcasts had reached UPT. Pages and pages of references to and reviews of Celestian/Zara programming published by Red Kessin VL fill not only leaked documents but nonclassified public works written by Symbraum with no direct involvement with the government. The Symbraum are not nearly as obsessed with the celebrity culture promoted by those like Korima of Droccen but they do obsess over the epic tales and lengthy films produced by the "entertainment sector" of the galaxy. Reviews for On the Edge of Forever a recent blockbuster production are generally positive with most Symbraum reviews noting the quirky mad scientist character was a standout performance.
      • The Gelean Republic is seen as a longterm threat to stability in whatever sector of the galaxy it settles in. The open siding with Eradicators was considered a risky and possibly careless move and though they speculated heavily on galactic response their own opinions seemed unclear on the matter. UPT was not nearby the Core and so concern over its breach or the Sisterhood's vigil was small. Curiosity over how cooperation with space raiders for dirtier tasks were perceived by other powers however? This interested UPT.
      • The Kamasati are in private documentation as much as they were publicly referred to as wise and benevolent beings whom the Symbraum would be well served to learn from. There is hope the Kamasati ideology will spread throughout this area of the galaxy between Symbraum and Kamasati home systems. The Geleans might prove more predictable and less chaotic should they share bonds of thought with their neighbors it was believed and the acquisition minded Nyxians could make valuable patrons to the movement of the mind. Likewise the Kombuch were known as psychics to the Kamasati and they wished to speak with the mushroom colonies about their elevation into their own pantheon above the Dream Children.
    • Brez Y'ett Division Head of Transcendence journeys from Xaldar to Polisto in a rare departure from the Symbraum homeworld. Many come to mind link with the wise but reclusive Division Head. Those who do so report insight and enlightenment from their interaction and for their part Brez seems unconcerned with acting as a site for pilgrimage. Touring the inhabited planets puts the Head into contact with Director level members of TD Committees and the message of Kamasati is spread.

Progress in spreading this message is rapid as both planet's denizens were war weary and the Tezh arbiter selected by the Consensus proves especially compelling in their arguments to disarm the Sneetch & GeiselTM defense systems at least temporarily to test the waters of peace for the first time in over a century.

While the causes of this civilization’s demise are currently unknown, all that remains of the currently crystallized remains of the inhabitants. Cities, people, pets, even trees have been converted into a strange crystalline substance. The skulls of the former inhabitants in particular have been shown to have...interesting, properties. In fact one of the explorers was nearly slain by a by an animated crystal skull after attempting to handle it without protection, nearly transforming into crystal themselves. In the midst of the chaos the CMC has established a Relay not far from the crystalized world and currently possess several space stations in the vicinity that host a small remnant refugee population. (SPR discovers T6 contains a [Great] resource of Crystal Skulls of which TP 1 is owned by CmC, an Open Learning Center, a CmC Relay, and no Units! SPR has +1 to Buyouts in T6 for one Round!)
    • Rocthurhi ships sent to scout the sector between their own and the Sublime People’s Republic discover a sector whose most habitable planet scans as highly irradiated. More in depth scans reveal a world formerly prosperous with intelligent life to have only a decade prior destroyed itself through nuclear war. A few survivors are registered and contacted by the Rocthurhi diplomats who are seen as possible saviors by some and the finishing hand of annihilation by others. With little other options forward however a majority of survivors seem eager to cooperate with these alien visitors and discuss the possibility for Rocthurhi space travelers granting the survivors the means to permanent access to a nearby asteroid belt who’s occasional rogue asteroid had provided a uniquely valuable metal in ages past. The mining of this metal might offer a chance to trade and rebuild from their devastation, a recovery that could be aided by the Rocthurhi. (RTH discovers S9 which contains a [Good] resource of Boreal Metal & an Open Learning Center! RTH has +1 to Establish a Claim in S9 for one Round!)
    • A senior member of the Central Committee, Patricia Tats, has begun to express concern over the Chairman's lengthy duration heading up the CLCPP. Though her criticisms are cloaked in praise for Vaou's securing access to Rocthurhi methane to fuel the Matter Rearragners and building of the Uplift Chorus alliance among the galactic neighbors pointed remarks regarding Vaou's purported relationship with the imperially titled and presumably minded Droccen tied with veiled accusations of tyrannical "Great Man" tendencies conflicting with the will of the people become more common place. Tats was a highly valued scientist and political theorist as well as a long-serving member on the Central Committee granting her insulation from being labelled a reactionary as one less privileged in SPR society might experience however tensions are certainly escalated by her rhetoric as two factions quietly appear splitting between support for Tats and the Chairman.
    • Access to a steady supply of fuel, however smelly it may have been, allows SPR researchers to resume testing of improvements to the Matter Rearranger design. Higher complexity atomic compounds including live organic structures are created in a small number of lab tests although the power drain is significant. It is suggested in some more fringe publications that the Matter Allocation Committee was sponsoring highly secretive experiments to not merely refine the ability of MRs but to wholly transform their capabilities into conveyors capable of taking an atomic snapshot and transferring or duplicating these items over vast physical distances. The ability to boldly follow scientific possibilities unshackled by fuel demands elates many within the SPR science and engineering fields.

    • Even with rather extensive travel across the stars there is much work being done at home, updating the primer of the Triarte, the Kitab-al-Alcir, to a more modern footing. Work is being done at a frenzied pace to catalog all of the new discoveries being made across the branches of science. From countless new species of life, to new concepts of how mind and thought work and are communicated.
    • Through all of the optimism of the Driskite and the creative pushing the boundaries, efforts within the Shu are primarily focused on ensuring that the overall identity of the Etherites and that the ways of the Triarte are preserved.
    • Big news from a nearby system to find not just others that follow the Triarte but our form of technomagic. Also the finding and communication with the solar entity named Proxos is quite astounding. Unfortunately the aggressive nature of Proxos is leading to the necessity of ejecting it from the system in concert with the locals. While not the ideal outcome it is hoped that further exploration will allow the finding of another of these Luminary spirits in another location and a more peaceful dialogue can be opened.

[Military] Construct the Gilded Garrison at Isabe (5/5) - The finishing touches are put on the brand new space station in orbit over Isabe's Landing with quarters being furnished, stores being stocked and staffed, and cafeterias beginning to fill the air with the smells of exotic foods or at more popularly palatable renditions of foreign dishes. A number of aspiring merchants are granted contracts with the Merchant Prince of Isabe ensured by the Lord of Coin himself granting them entrepreneurial rights to entertainment sectors of the station which quickly fill with bars, drug dens, and "exotic dancer" clubs catering to a wide variety of tastes and predilections. While Nyxians staffed much of the station the opportunity to earn valuable Guild credits which were universally exchangeable for the growing number of goods made available on Nyxian markets attracted all manner of hopeful aliens seeking to earn a comfortable living for themselves through service on this grand station. As a military barracks it was seen as secure and the flood of services being made available to draw in mercenaries made it a highly lucrative prospect. Not all could be winners of course and even after only a few months certain businesses find they lack the clientele to remain viable but enough success stories of wealth generated at the Gilded Garrison keeps these open slots filled with new prospective business owners.
    2. [Economy] Buyout L8 Kill Bots TP 1 13 - Robots programmed to murder and slaughter one's enemies didn't exactly spend money at bars or dance clubs but the engineers who maintained them did. Seeking to insulate the Guild-Empire from aggression by outside forces the Merchant Princes pool funds to make a massive offer to the nearby system offering to fund their war efforts to claim their local system for years if not decades to come for the exchange of a significant number of Kill Bots and the engineers needed to maintain them to transfer from their current locale to the Nyxian sector which many accept.
    3. [Economy] Buyout L8 Kill Bots TP 2 15 - Negotiations prove very fruitful, far exceeding Guild expectations, and every contract proposed to the crafty roboticists and their craft flood into Nyxian space. Personal defense fleets of the Merchant Princes and even a few especially wealthy Merchant Governors are soon augmented with wings of Kill Bot drones armed and ready to carry out their directives.
    4. [Economy] Buyout K7 Angel Wings TP 1 15 - No one in the Guild-Empire quite knew what to make of the discovery in the region bordering Nyx and Gelean space but when it was made clear that the so-called Angel Wings were a form of currency in the sector the desire to possess at least a small investment in their trade spread throughout the Guild-Empire. Local beliefs in "gifts from the gods" was clearly superstitious nonsense but any Nyxian familiar with the Laws of Procurement could tell you "Superstitions were highly profitable." Trading for mere trinkets within the Guild a stockpile of Angel Wings are slowly accumulated offworld that the Nyxians might one day soon present themselves to the locals who collected them as righteous gods-chosen able to requisition whatever they pleased from the unusual system.
    5. [Economy 5 Upgrade Quantity] Increase M23 Sorcerers from [Minor] to [Good] taking TP 2 - Although opposite the Core with the weakening of oversight for GLD ships thanks to Gelean maneuvering against the uptight Sisterhood Nyxian ships venture to the nearby Courier relay for warping to the Relay on the opposite side of Axiom outside Alysian space for a short hop to the highly conflicted space dominated by the Kryptids and their civil war which was now spilling out across multiple sectors. News had leaked on the OMS of a group of magically empowered individuals with the capability to engage in combat equivalent to conventional ships on an individual basis. It seemed these "sorcerers" had recently failed to come to a diplomatic arrangement with the One High Maxim faction of Kryptids and were now facing invasion by the Casrule Movement. The details of the political struggle were largely inconsequential in the eyes of the Nyxians but what was relevant was that conflict would drive a need for funds, be they needed by the sorcerers or the Kasrule didn't much matter to the Guild. The completion of the Gilded Garrison was promised to bring the mercenaries required by the Guild-Empire and Lord Domino would not be made a liar. Who better to defend Nyxian interests than veterans of the first known interstellar conflict imbued with the energies of demigods? If the sorcerers emerged supreme they would owe part of their victory to Nyxian funds and if the Kasrule took the sector under their own dominion the Guild-Empire was prepared to offer favorable terms for the retention of a portion of the local sorcerous supply.

    • Opinions on the Gelean Republic range from fear over their growing ties with the Eradicators, rumored to be no great friends of trade, and toady deference to the much more powerful stellar power who seemingly had no qualms about employing every ounce of their military might to squash opposition. No formal contact has been made between Nyx and the Geleans and this uncertainty leads to much volatility in the market as speculation over the future runs rampant.       Tapping into the Couriers' economic power would compensate for the shortcomings of the Meritocracy's still inadequate trade fleet well. Upon receiving the request, Galean immediately sends a large reconnaissance fleet in the indicated direction. It is led by Advance A001-004, better known as Tough Van, the first android to rise to the rank of Fleet Captain. They (thanks to the Meritocracy's progressive social policies, it is forbidden to assign gender to androids) are of average humanoid stature, but are surprisingly strong and durable. Legends say that they fought an Imperial hovertank in a scuffle during the Great Revolutionary War. With their bare hands. Van always dismisses requests for a retelling, though: "Well, that skirmish ended inconclusively, you see. I regret that I wasn't able to disable the tank. It likely went on to kill many innocents. Not a good story to tell." Altough Van has never expressed any contrarevolutionary sentiments, many are suspicious of them, alleging that Van is merely waiting for an opportunity to incite or join an android rebellion.
    2. [Philosophy]Convert C9 to Realtaism (2d6+8)
      A few shadowy figures, no more than two dozen, are seen walking around the national capital, Mar. Nobody knows them. They are of all ages and body shapes; in fact, they don't have much in common except the white cloaks with hoods, covering their faces, and the antique swords that are hanging from their belts. Though they seem to be avoiding each other, it is clear that they feel nothing but unadulterated contempt for everyone not part of their little cabal.

      They are seen observing the preparations for the launch of a colony fleet, instructing the crew occasionally. To the horror of all good citizens, one of the figures orders the crew to load Realtaist holy symbols and texts into the spaceships instead of the warheads meant to annihilate the genetically-modified traitors to humankind in C9.

      Nasty rumors are heard on the streets long after the incident. It is said that Marshal Galean is just a puppet or figurehead; he is controlled by a shadow council that seeks to smother the flames of the revolution. Public paranoia is on the rise, and violent incidents are becoming more frequent, as belief in the moral integrity of the government falters.

      The Meritocracy's leadership has decided to colonize the surrounding space as quickly at possible for the benefit of humanity. To this end, thousands of randomly chosen citizens are hastily packed into spaceships, together with literal armies of androids, and sent off in all directions.

      This is a significant deviation from previous government policy that usually emphasised individuals' freedom to do what they think is best. The colonists are under far less pressure to conform to Meritocracy laws, especially since the Meritocracy has no formal penalties other than execution by duel, and the government is already struggling to keep the colonists content and numerous. Some don't even wear as much as a scarf on the face! Truly, this cultural regressionism is horrifying! Marshal Galean has resolved to crack down on crime in the colonies once they have been more stabilized.

    Though early attempts to spread the word to Celestia were met with disinterest, they weren't entirely wasted. The Nolkir's grasp on what made them tick was greatly boosted by the time spent there, and left them an obvious avenue of attack. They sent Frvamas. His job had never been particularly important, and he had just the right amount of self-absorption to be fascinating to the people of Celestia. So they sent him to be loud, and interesting, in front of ideally as many cameras as possible. Actual conversion wasn't his job, nor one he was qualified for. But he was capable of mentioning just enough on various talk shows and interviews to spark interest, and intrigue, and to also occasionally mention his friends who were qualified.

    If uptake of the nine occurred because of it, well, wasn't that a happy accident?

    Messages to other powers:

    The offer of the Unified Public Trust to send any Caller fragment they uncovered the Amanyk is accepted and preparations are made to receive it at the Treasury. The Conclave promises to keep it safe and promise to return it whenever the UPT desires it back.

    The Kombuch are informed in no uncertain terms that the Conclave has an interest in Sector I5 and wishes to discuss the matter with them at some point.

    The Geleans, who seemed so pleasant at the Simulacrum, are denounced for choosing to align themselves with pirates and brigands.     With sufficient units mobilised, Aurelius launches his Great Foray into neighboruing space, leading his Ravagers personally, sending his remaining GLD equipped forces in three directions. Crimson Heart, Shatter Squadron, and First Flight, led by their respective Officers of the Order, embark forth into the unknown. In their absence, Aurelius leaves Officer Vandred of the Dreadfleet in charge, and directs the Wardens to mobilise their first fleet, the Grey Bulwark.
