Shauni
"Well, I didn't recognize who I was chasing, but he was so familiar. I think I called him...Ob. There were also a lot of bugs chasing me too. I also had the strangest feeling that I was being watched by something massive." Sitting down and spearing a hunk of venison with her knife, she says, "But it didn't seem angry or anything. It was almost...protective. But the darkness caught me, and I grabbed something cold. Did any of you dream that?"

"You look a little beat up fella, would you like a little help?"

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
After Crog finishes cooking what ever he may have caught, he helps Aleash with his horse trying to teach him what he can. Then he cuts a chunk of the meat with his great sword, sit on a log/rock or something similar to a seat and eats his hard earned food. "Me Think That Dreams May Have Something To Do With Other Dreams. We Follow Someone We Know, There Is Presence Behind Us And Person We Know Doesn't Respond To Us. Maybe It Have Something To Do With Were Ever We Going. Were We Going Again?" He says with slightly more insight than anyone has ever seen him have.

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
You have reached the first leg of your journey by reaching the Big Rock. I will aware everyone 1000 exp for completeing this leg of the journey.
Unless something else happens... Then the group as a whole continues on.
From where you stand as the sun comes up you can see the Bald Hill. As you approach it is a completely bald hill, no grass, no trees, no big rocks or anything. It is a little eerily quiet but as nothing happens, you continue on. From there you continue east. The day passes without incedent, however, you are on the last leg of your journey when the sun begins to go down. Does the party stop here for the night or press on?Characters: Pakar

Guicho
"What's wrong with being an autonomous collective? I'm sticking with letting however can lead raise to the occasion, it would seem much more proper then basing it on two nights experience with each other." Wanting to change the subject after the first day's passionate exchange, Guicho takes a look at the sky before continuing.
"Anyway, the professor supposedly went insane at the ruins, if we continue on we'd probably reach them deep into the night. I, for one, would rather let run into whatever it was in the plain light of day then in the dead of night. Call me superstitious if you want, but it really did a number on her."Will be edited by Ryuuk : Sometime in the future.

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
Aleash
I agree with Guicho. We are entering into a location where we know there is danger in darkness. We will be better off getting a good nights rest, if we can, before entering into the ruins.
he pauses for a moment.
Speaking of rest, I think we should all be mindful of our dreams tonight. If we all have similar dreams again, we might want to spend some more time discussing them.
If the general agreement is to make camp, he will look for a likely spot.Spoiler

Spoiler
thats fine, I don't know if anyone noticed but thats all I have been doing anyway.
That nights dreams are the same exact dream, there is nothing different that you notice. The morning is clear and sunny. From where you stand, you can see two teepee like tents, a dead and scattered fire, a set of stairs leading down into the ground and a large globe of darkness ((no real need for spellcraft, anyone who has ANY ranks in spellcraft recognizes it for the spell.))Last edited by borninbones; 2007-11-07 at 02:35 PM.

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
Once Crog goes hunting, kills a deer hopefully, makes a fire, cooks the meat and finnaly once everyone has eaten and packed, Crog will draw his Great Axe and slowly go down the stairs looking, for anything that moves or could cause him harm. "This Place Dark, Me Not See Anything." He swings his axe infront of him slowly to see if he hits anything.

Guicho
"Wow, quite a sight." Guicho's hand moves closer to his rapier's hilt as he eyes the sphere of darkness and the remains. Once they've reached the site, and dismounts. "How about this, I make sure to come back but you stay here and wait for me, deal?" He gives his horse a pat on the back before joining the others.
He watches Crog and Shauni head towards the sphere with his rapier drawn, but takes a look at the tepees every once in case they're inhabited.

You all fall flat on your faces. Some of you even fall onto each other into to dark pile of people.
If you do some feeling around, you discover that you tripped on a large round stone. ((kno arch roll dc 15 required to know what it is or bardic kno if you have it.)).Characters: Pakar

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
You spot sand on the stairs going down and that may make it tricky stepping, but other then that, you see nothing out of the ordinary. The darkness is as the spell in a central area of about 20feet.

Guicho
Hearing the meeting of various bodies with the floor (I assume that at least Sanstrider's fall would be pretty easy to hear). Guicho draws closer to the darkness, poking it at first, before thrusting his entire arm into it and feeling around. "You guys alright in there?"Will be edited by Ryuuk : Sometime in the future.

"Don't worry about us. We fell down some stairs. If you're coming down, walk slowly. There's something in the way and the stairs are sorta slippery," Shauni says as she stands up, "Ow...Sandstrider, are you okay? I think I banged my shin on you."

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
((not quite))
You tripped on the capstone. The stairs are over to the left and are not in the globe of darkness. The capstone itself is magical and as long as it is in the sunlight, it casts darkness. Sorry if that was unclear. The stone itself was to cover the stairs.Characters: Pakar

Re: Arcturian Ruins of Stwairvane
((Wait, I went down the stairs. So thats not were the darkness was? Then I guess I didn't understand what was happening.))
After picking himself up Crog laughs heartily and is all joking about how funny it is to trip on rocks. He then takes the lead and slowly starts going down the stairs searching for other things he might trip on as well as listening for some creepy horror type thing. "Maybe their be big sludge like monster. Me always wanted to be covered in sludge." he whispers softly.

Guicho
Guicho backs away from the orb of darkness and heads towards the others down the stairs. It seemed like quite an odd object to find in the middle of nowhere, but it made sense with what the professor was saying. He stops by Bones and picks up a pair of Sunrods before going down. Will be edited by Ryuuk : Sometime in the future.
