Hi,

I wanted to post another entry in my Journal but I'm not sure if this would be against the Forum rules because it has implied sexual content. Can I send the post to a moderator to see if it would be okay, before posting it and perhaps gain a ban?

Sheriff: That's a better option than just posting it, but we'd prefer not to get into the business of pre-approving text. Rather, err on the side of caution. If you think a certain comment or text is problematic, make it less so and then post it.

Sheriff: We're not going to try to delineate the exact limits of those rules. The limit has colloquially been described as PG-13, but keep in mind that even this standard is not precise. For one thing, it applies to motion pictures, where one of the key factors is whether the content is "fleeting" - a thing not really present in a message board context.

Err on the side of caution. If you think it may be inappropriate, please don't post it. Please don't go searching for the line. Post what you need to post for your game and, knowing the rules exist, moderate or omit anything you think might be problematic. There's a common PbP concept, "fade to black," where the conduct can be alluded to vaguely with the details left up to the reader to fill in.
