I listen to audiobooks during my daily commute and I find pulpy fantasy is best for drives like this. When I was young, I enjoyed R.A. Salvatore's Crystal Shard trilogy. I use the Hoopla app and currently have 3 of his "non D&D" Trilogies available:

The Spear Wielder's Tale Series (The Woods Out Back, The Dragon's Dagger, Dragonslayer's Return)

The Chronicles of Ynis Aielle Series (Echoes of the Fourth Magic, The Witch's Daughter, Bastion of Darkness)

The Crimson Shadow Series (The Sword of Bedwyr, Luthien's Gamble, The Dragon King)

Does anyone recommend these trilogies/books?
