And why is V so irritated about this? Can elves not drink?
He might not have a Regeneration prepared.

Also, arthritis might not be a "disease" for purposes of the spell, but instead a manifestation of the loss of Dexterity that occurs with going up in age categories. . .and that can't be removed by a spell.

I think V is irritated because V is so serious now after the thing with the fiends. Well, V was always pretty uptight and serious, but V's got a monumental amount of guilt weighing on his/her shoulders and doesn't think partying is appropriate at any time.

He should have paid attention to that movie they showed him. The one about robosexual dating, not the one with the vampires and explosions.

That said, i realize I'm in the minority here, and if you like it, go you, that's awesome. I just wanted to throw out a contesting opinion.
I'm with you here, yeah. I'd argue that there's something fundamentally pretty good at the core of TV Tropes, being "we think it's alright to deeply analyze any given work, even if it isn't so-called high art." And ideally, the only problems with TV Tropes would be the problems inherent to any large-scale amateur scholarship.

But, well, TV Tropes has also probably played a pretty big role in the existence of that CinemaSins jackass and thousands of people like him, so I've kinda soured on the whole thing.
Back when TV Tropes was an obscure corner where fans of Buffy and Angel worked out their compulsions trying to understand why they liked the shows as much as they did, the tone of excitement, and of pride in their own cleverness, came as naturally as the casual colloquialism that can, equally, now seem forced.

I love the site myself, but now that people are apparently being told, "This is something you have to take seriously if you want to progress in your chosen art form," I'm in complete sympathy if they take one or two glances at it and respond, "This?"

The thing is, I can totally buy that! It seems like for a small community in the beginnings something like that would be really cool and fun to be a part of.
