I haven't come across anything dealing with this, so please advise if not allowed. I'm trying to reach out in hopes of finding other players to start a 5e campaign at our home. Specifically Avernus. Looking for 3 players. Thank you.

There is a Recruitment Forum specifically for finding players and whatnot. You'll probably have a much harder time if you're trying to find people for in-person, and might recommend searching more local resources, but you could probably advertise "5e game in Citysburg". No guarantee you'd get anything response-wise, though.
