Need help with google maps gps app.

Im a truck driver so when im going along a route I have to avoid certain areas due to height restrictions. There is specifically one route near me that I cant go on at all but my gps is utterly obsessed with telling me to use it. is there a way to set it so it automatically ignores that route, or am I stuck trying to force it to select other options by ignoring it till it gives up and finally stops trying to tell me to turn around?

I thought that there were specialist Navigation apps for truck drivers (and I think in the UK using a Car GPS on a truck can invalidate your insurance). I strongly suspect you need to look for a specilist truck app (preferably one what allows you to set vehicle height, width and weight) rather than try to use a generic one.

Good luck - you do seem to be trying to do it properly unlike too many others.

Agreed. Check with your dispatcher or some other drivers.

In general, it seems like the Google apps have gotten less stable and buggier over the last 1-2 years.
