I'm adding two categories to the contest:

Strategist - Someone who plays D&D as a strategy game rather than a roleplaying game. Uses complicated tactics during combat, and devises master plans that often derail the campaign.

Joker - Someone who feels compelled to say something funny at every opportunity. This is the guy who cracks up the group with a banal comment in the middle of the villain's dramatic monologue.

I fit the bill for Leeroy Jenkins perfectly. I am tha guy in your party who ges bored and says "screw this i'm gonna kill something." I frequntly make very bold and risky moves in the games I play (Examples include Ultimate Greed and Mafia). In Ultimate Dungeon I went the farthest into the dungeon (I died but hey ) So please nominate/vote for me.

I never really optimise a build. Ever. I come up with a character who seems "cool". The dual-wielding/sword-and-board fighter whos sole goal in combat is to pour in as many attacks per round as possible without resorting to cheese? Thats me.
I play half-elves. I LOVE half-elves, and people turn around and tell me. Half-elves are weak, they're underpowered, half-eves are a race of CW Samurais and Monks. I think they're awesome, pretty much every campaign I've been in, people have disliked half-elves everywhere, so its quite fun to bluff and diplomacy your way through not beign lynched for being a half-blood while simoultaneously trying to get a room at the inn.
Why strategist? Thats an easy one. The role of party rogue, monk, or paladin requires a firm grip on tactics. You scout out a planned ambush, and you return to your party, or simply turn to your party and plan the counter ambush. Swift, silent, effective. I usually end up running the team, and I run the team like a unit. All the gears mesh, and all the baddies fall. All this, effective strtegies, compelling roleplaying and backstories, and I don't play spell-slingers. They cramp my style. They're no fun.
You want a roleplayer? Hes the guy who consistently plays a half-elf monk, despite being less-than-optimal.
You want a strategist, hes the guy who plays that same half-elf monk and wipes out a large, detailed, far-above-CR ambush without loosing a single man in his party.
Who does that? Thats me. Thanatos5150.

I would like to make a bid for Roleplayer itP. Here's why:

1. I care about worldbuilding. If my character can afford to, they will have ranks in Knowledge (history, nobility & royalty, or local) just so I can gain a better understanding of how the world works. If I've been given enough world knowledge to do so, I will build my character from childhood, and it won't even be for providing the DM with plot hooks. If I run a cleric, I will reference books to find prayers common to followers of my character's deity and actually use them. I care about worldbuilding.

2. I can seperate IC from OOC. I am a young adult male who has run a CE female pixie who turned down a threesome with two other women. I play down my normally extensive vocabulary when running a character with low Int. My characters have done things that I am personally morally opposed to because it fit their character. I can seperate IC from OOC.

3. I enjoy roleplaying. Roleplaying is one of, if not the, highest forms of escapism, and I fully appreciate it for that. I can be someone I normally could never be, become immune to my greatest fears, and do things I could only dream of doing in reality. Being able to be with other, like-minded individuals as part of the game is delicious icing on an already exquisite cake. I enjoy roleplaying.

The rules are really what gaming is. The fluff text is just there to fill some space. The SRD has no fluff whatsoever for a reason besides the Open Gaming License terms. If you haven't read the through the SRD until you could recite the attacks of opportunity rules from memory, you aren't a real gamer.

Why, you might ask? Well, as many of you may know, I won the Magtok award for Fax Celesiest in the playground. God Fax may also be great at other stuff, but He is most well known for His amazing awesomeness at D&D. He makes the most potent builds around, never munchkinning but always extremely powerful. God Fax is about the best Powegamer around, but in His absence, I would like to claim a piece of His awesome for myself.

Yes, I will admit to being a munchkin. I have been known to fudge the rules, going out of my way to look at really obscure feats that are awesome and help me out a tonne. Inadvertantly, my DM rules out most of these, but even that just shows how much I powergame. I'm willing to buy the Sword of True Striking (+20 to all attack rolls) for its low price of 8,000 gp, or the Cloak of Divine Grace. These are both artifact level items, yet I'm fine with using it.

Also, I even take my Powergaming here to the Playground. Ask anybody in HALO what my favorite spell, is, and near instantaneously, you can find out its Avasculate and its cousins. Avasculate is a spell that offers no save to prevent the damage, and hits on a Ranged Touch attack, usually extremely easy to make, particularly since I'm an elf (as you should all know). The main point is, Avasculate immediately halves their HP, which, when combined with certain metamagic feats is even more potent.

I trust you will make the right decision, and vote Shas'aia Toriia for Powergamer ITP. 'Cause Avasculate is just that awesome.

[/bad campaigning]May I bring in some... well... *Slight* evidence that I am definatly a worth canidate for Strategist?
For as many of you know... I'm a hardcore Fire Emblem fan, if you don't know what "Fire Emblem" is... It's the games Marth, Roy, and Ike are from (You probably heard of them from Super Smash Bros games).

To make my point... Fire Emblem is completely based on strategy. I as of quite a few months ago, currently beaten all english Fire Emblem titles on the hardest difficulty without having a single soul die. Yes, even Hector Hard mode (*GASP!* I thought it wasn't possible!) Yep, it's possible
