Point of order, as far as I am concerned lycanthropy starts while you don't have class levels, meaning it is the base creature +1. It's expensive enough as is. It's certainly not good enough to force you to forgo class levels.

Wait doesn't mean Lycans would have a huge CR? If there is no class levels you go off the Animals.
I considered a Were-Jag but that is CR 3 for 4d8 Animal Dice +1 CR for Lycan.
Its doable but needs to be handled with care.

I am still liking the Damphir Vampire angle. Losing three levels makes casters very hard to consider. So Bard is probably doable, might be fun if there is people to charm and seduce.

Otherwise gonna have to give the look at just an Advanced Wyrwood, losing a level is doable for all it grants.

I tend to appreciate creative builds more than overoptimization, but really that is up to you. And as for backstory, more is better as far as I am concerned.

There are certainly sapient creatures on the jungle continent. To give you a hint, I suggest you choose the more reptilian and fiendish languages if you'd like to communicate with many of them.

Would you be opposed to the old Vampire Lord Template from 3.5?
Yeah its a CR 3, which means my vampire would be at CR 7 of empty levels with no HD, with 3 class levels.

Just for those who plan on being undead: If necessary, I could cast Daywalker to help deal with some unpleasant side-effects of not being entirely alive.

And I wanted to ask: Does anyone know how to get a palanquin? I think that my character will be more suited to being carried and would like to have one to travel the jungle in style (while complaining about the awful climate and all the bugs).

So stop me if this is too weird or doesnít work. I have a concept for a very specific kind of Bard: a Dirge Bard, a being infused with magic from the Dimension of Nightmares. They have been blessed with a unique gift to actually terrify the undead.

So An Bhais would have kept this character around in order to feel something in his lich years. She would be a confidant and potentially a friend / occasional ally. Would that be appropriate?

Sounds fair I needed to recheck the Vampire template and it doesn't bar a character from crossing running water it just makes it that if it falls into water. Most of the features are already granted by Vampire anyway I can work with that. I just need to figure out how to deal with sunlight and water.

neck items, immune disease then add immune poison its horribly expensive for both individual items and there are no other items that do either, and the next closest are spells which I took as a backup
