Temporary Hair Dyes
Hello y'all,
I'm thinking about dying the ends of my hair either blue or purple for Halloween, and have been wondering how to do it. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated.
My criteria are as follows (to clarify what I'm asking for):
- Lasts no more than a month, but preferably at least a week
- I'm in high school, so less than 20 dollars total cost would be ideal
- Doesn't require leaving the house (so can be ordered online)
- Work's with blonde hair without any long-lasting side effects. (preliminary google searches indicate that this isn't a given)
Thanks in advance for any advice provided.Non caerulea sum, Caerulea nomen meum est.

Re: Temporary Hair Dyes
That first criteria is tricky - anything that lasts a week is going to have to resist washing, which means it will probably be there after a month. Repeated dying is easier here, which means you want to go really cheap.
I've heard good things about Kool aid.I would really like to see a game made by Obryn, Kurald Galain, and Knaight from these forums.

Re: Temporary Hair Dyes
I am not really the person to ask about hair dyes, but in that price range I'd suggest spray-on dye. You'd have to re-apply it each time you washed your hair, but you could buy several cans for $20 so that would work for a week. It makes your hair feel like it's been sprayed with serious old-school hairspray, though - very stiff and not very touchable.
Also, one time in high school my friend and I used it and it settled over the bathroom floor in a fine mist, and my dad had something of a "paint with water" experience the next time he mopped.
I have dark hair, so I really don't have experience with the pitfalls of dye getting left in blond hair.

Re: Temporary Hair Dyes
Thanks, both of you. Unfortunately, my father has informed me that no way in hell am I dying my hair, and maintained that stance when I pointed out I was only intending it to be temporary. So it will have to wait until college, or he changes his mind.
