    I think Disco Elysium and Planescape Torment both count. They have some very strong writing, and they both definitely have something to say.

    Hell one could argue Bioshock didn't have that same impact (I think it does but I digress).

    Pathologic is definitely an art house game, absolutely. Deadly Premonition as well. Shenmue 1 and 2 (and Yakuza to an extent) feel like they are as well, quality aside of the first two.

    Sleeping Dog's attempt to be "a video game movie" is definitely one as well, or trying to be anyway.
