Default Oathbreaker: New Guardians (now these games sound like a comic book) (invitational)

Alrighty, here is the place. Put your sheets and backstory here. Only after everoyne has a reserved a post to do so that I might consider looking here to answer questions. I'll be discussing the game mostly through the discord server.

    More to come.

Just Helping, reporting in with the sheet of Daria LaMothe.

    https://www.myth-weavers.com/sheet.html#id=2061849

    Spoiler: Backstory Summary
    Show

Daria LaMothe is a self-proclaimed alchemist, formerly operating under Diael before his defection. While noted to have traveled a lot as a child, she was discovered by Diael working as a healer in a small community. She happily joined the Guardians as a researcher -- her objectives seem to be oriented around strengthening the whole of humanity, though the scope and cause of this project is beyond the scope of this summary.

She worked with Diael on [REDACTED], and has been transferred to working under Tora and Harry with the exception of one ongoing project, [REDACTED]. Her "alchemical magic", whatever its true nature, is effective in creating curatives for injury and curses. Daria combines this art with the Sublime Way to become an effective melee combatant, even if she insists the Way has some application for her 'alchemy'.

    Reporting in!
Krassis Therugesmith: Abandoned as a child due to his blessing where he can randomly pull a chicken out of nowhere, he was taken in by a jester who played for the rich and famous. Brought up to be a jester he had played for all sorts of of the higher ups but one day a group of slavers attacked their caravan and krassis was taken as a hostage to provide food. After a year of brutal beatings and various tortures, he was saved by a group of paladins of freedom. The paladins of freedom took him in and he became a paladin. While in training, in an underground raid on a drow village, he met up with flutters, his mount and best friend, flutters was an outcast of it's herd due to it being underdeveloped and much smaller than the other beacon moths. Flutters somewhere along the way became a celestial Beacon moth after much training. after 10 years of training, he was found too violent, despite sticking to his vows and humor. They dumped him off with the guardians hoping that he would mellow out after awhile.

    Cassidea Bulwork

Spoiler: Dossier notes concerning Priestess Cassidae Bulwork.
    Show

Priestess Cassidae Bulwork presents a different style of holy servant than most. Oh, she flutters around the light of faith as do all clerics, she's just a bit more physically active than most.
Her history before joining the church is a shady one. Records show that she was, at some point, gravely injured. The circumstances remain unclear as to what caused the trauma, and she returned to her daily life much changed from before it.
Intricate tattoos in designs unfamiliar to modern eyes cover her flesh, and her right arm has been replaced with a steel facsimile.
Priestess Bulwork appears to be almost obsessed with personal defence, an attitude that meshes rather humorously with her difficulty choosing to avoid attacks. During her combat training, which she adheres to rigorously, she has yet to be seen to dodge any strike.
It remains to be seen how she will progress with the Guardians.

    End notes.

    Szymon “Mammoth“ Mahmutović

    Spoiler: backstory
    Show

As a young boy, Szymon was interested in the arcane and especially in dragons. Until he found out, that there are even more powerful beings than dragons - vestiges, demons, or the souls of the old.
Because of some old book, which he found at the basement of an old ladies house in his street, he learned about the binding.

This binding he used to his advantage: despite everyones telling, Szymon graduated from high school and even finished the university.

At the time as a freshman, he got visited by some agents of the government. Blacklight is small and totalitarian and so it was just a question of time when they will recognize him.

They came to him and told him, that he will be trained as a monster hunter now - parallel to his studying in biology. He learned the martial arts, and to his pleasure, also intensifies the studies in the arcane and its inhabitants.

And then, one day, while he was out to hunt a pride of Krenshar, The Guardians were standing in front of him. He heard some stories about them before, and now they offer him a job?

    Zarchary Gardner
A lightning mage, rowdy and rambuncious but very unaware and unhinged.

Born in the harsh streets of the black light district, he and his parents were poor, but they scrapped fpr survival. Zack thought his parents loved him, until they accidentially discovered his secret. He was around 13 when it happened. While they were searching for iron scraps a gang came upon them, telling them to get out of their turf. Zack's father apologized to the gang, but they took that as resistance and started beating all of them. That is when Zack learned of his gift and unfortunately, his inevitable curse. Lightning surged through Zack as he began to electrocute the pursuers. As he begin to beat and zap them his injuries began to heal. The attackers were left to die and he helped his parents away from them. His parents were happy and proud of their son, or so Zack thought. They said he was gifted and that they would find a way for him to go to school. He was elated considering he had loved studying the arcane. They took him to a back alley way and through a back door. Something didnt feel right, suddenly a group of men grabbed him, he struggled but they made sure to steer clear of his hands. A man in a labcoat walks out. "Ah I see our test subject is here, brilliant work bringing him here, you will be compensated handsomely for your work." Zack realized that his parents sold him out, he cried and screamed painfully as his handlers restrained him to a stretcher. For 10 long years... He was subjected to many horrible experiments, seeing if they could augment his healing factor, increase the intensity of his electric sparks, heavily drugged and medicated into a stupor. Zack's body felt strange changes, his electricty started to take forms over his body, translucent. Until the day he got a form that they did not expect- Mauling Gauntlets. He pushed all the ions to these newly formed items and escaped his restraints. They had done too well to train and torment him and so he escaped, running as fast as he could... but to no avail. While he was cornered that was when a Guardian came along and rescued him from his pursuers. He had begged them to go along with them, he didnt care where as long as it was out.

Perky shapeshifter with a spell and a shape for everything.

    Sheet here

    Spoiler: Backstory
    Show

Logi, or Baird as they are more commonly known to the Guardians, was born to a moderately wealthy trader family in one of the main nations of the Capellian Trade Union. Given the name Logi for their fiery red hair, even brighter than most of their kind, the first years passed happily. And then they fell prey to a cruel and persistent magical wasting unique to chameleon lizard nephilim, dulling their hair, their shifting and their muscles. It took a lot of time and money to eventually lift the curse, but the damage had been done. They were left practically paralysed. Slowly, and painfully, their family worked with them to build back the strength and dexterity lost, but their family also had their own problems....

The Baird family had been merchants for generations, trading to both sides even as the Frontierian war for independance raged on, and Logi's parents continued on the trade to Frontieria, providing passage and hard to find items to both nations. But public opinion rose against normalising relations with the "upstart colony", and times became hard for the Bairds. It was when Logi started to be accosted whenever they were wheeled outside, due to both their parents actions and the fact they were unable to change their form to the more normal human look the rest of their family adopted, that their parents decided a change was needed.

And so Logi grew up on their uncle's ship, travelling the waters and trading on behalf of their parents back home. Their uncle continued their training, and while they would never be the strongest, they learned how to shoot a bow, wield a sword, and climb up and down the rigging. While on their travels, a mysterious old lady paid for her travels with an ornate book filled with arcane symbols, but insisted that their uncle give it to Logi as they would make the best use of it. Logi pored over the tome, eagerly learning the elemental and magical secrets within, and attracting both a guardian spirit and a faithful and unnaturally intelligent animal companion.

As they grew in magical knowledge, so too did they delve into the abilities of their kin. Their uncle taught them to master many forms, and set them on the path they still walk. Eventually, they came to the attention of a group of Guardians who needed to leave the CTU in a hurry and once again used their uncle's ship. They were accepted in to the Guardians as Tora's apprentice, and have been working for the Guardians for the last two years, often protecting ships on their travels just as they did for their uncle.

A master of poisons, fire and bow, with a shape for any occasion, Baird is often called on for any aquatic or seafaring adventures since that is where they have the most experience. They are also adept at infiltration, social or stealthing. But they're happy to get stuck in wherever they're needed. Their influence as a Guardian has helped them to fend off some of the pressure their parents are under, and for that they will always be grateful.
