Sad news indeed. Peart's lyrics took Rush to the heights they enjoyed and his drumming established him as one of the greatest in rock history. His epic solos through the middle of YYZ had to be heard.

I had the distinct pleasure of seeing Rush in concert twice, and Neal's drum solos were always a thing of beauty.
The band has asked that in addition to condolences, donations to cancer research in his name is also appreciated. A lot of AGDQ donations had comments about his death, since they were raising money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation."And if you don't, the consequences will be dire!"
"What? They'll have three extra hit dice and a rend attack?"
