"You guys go on ahead." Insar squats down next to one of the suits of armor still struggling to stand. "I'll see what I can find out here." He raps the suit of armor with his nuckles.

The plot is bogging down here because we can't do anything. We need to get a clear idea of what to do or what dice to roll to figure out what to do.

Questions:
What material are the suits of armor made out of?
How old are they?
What style, if any, are they in?
Does it react?

(Yes, the game is bogging down lately. I'll try to do something about it.)

The pieces of armor seem to be made of normal iron. They look wicked and intimidating, but you do not recognize any particular style that'd betray their origin. They also seem moderately old - not ancient, but definitely not freshly made.
There is no reaction and the suits seem completely ordinary. How were they rising up, it is a mystery.

Even a brief search of the Hearthstone room is enough to discover that the gem is not quite gone - what is left of it are tiny shards, scattered all around the place.

Wicked and intimidation how? Black? Spikes? Demon and/or skull motifs?
Any signs of actual battle damage?

The armors' designs are dark, moderately spiky and with sharp edges and features. There aren't any motifs, be them demonic, undead, draconic or any other. It seems the smith went for the utilitarian approach. These suits don't look like they've ever been used, either.

Insar will attempt to pull the gauntlet off of one of the suits of armor attempting to stand up.

The gauntlet comes off easily with little effort. It doesn't seem that pieces of the suits of armor are connected with each other by anything.

(Ack, sorry! Then where was the gem broken? I thought Insar placed it in the spot where the manses's hearthstone had been, which I presumed to be the heart of the manse...

(You got it right, Cubey was just saying that you were outside when Star made her previous statement and had to go back inside to reach the hearthroom.)

Pretty much what Kyeudo said. The gem was broken in the Hearthroom, but I assumed you moved outside of it in the meantime. Traveling around the Manse is not a problem for you so you can go to each location easily. At least for now.
