Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
Raiser B1ade wanders around the Academy, looking for clues as to who the infiltrators might be. Unfortunately, he is unable to avoid all the unfriendly looks from the Alchemists. Everywhere he goes, he can here them saying the same things......
"That Raiser Blade is suspicious......" "It's him....... it must be him......."
He arrives at the library to research and sits, noticing Elanya, Keris Rain, and Malpik Azhurer staring at him. Before long, the library is full of people, surrounding him in a circle, just like theyhad done Rejakor the day before.
Raiser Blade gets up and tries to leave, but his way is blocked by Helgraf.
"There is something strange about you, isn't there?" he asks.
"Leave me alone. I'm not one of them."
As he leaves the library, vampire2948 catches up to him.
"I won't let you get away with this! I'll fight you if I must!
"You're no match for me! Go away if you know what's good for you!"
vampire2948 and Helgraf follow him to an empty warehouse behind the Academy.
"I said leave me alone!" Shouts Raiser Blade before running at them with a sword in hand. "I won't go down without a fight!"
vampire2948 dodges, but it's too late for Helgraf, whom Raiser Blade impales with a sword. As Helgraf falls, vampire2948 yells and snaps his fingers to produce a spark, lighting the warehouse around them. He tries to escape, but Raiser Blade does not allow him. Their fight continues.
From outside, the Alchemists stare as the warehouse burns to the ground. None of the three were able to get out alive.
Summary:
Raiser Blade was Lynched. He was an Alchemist.
vampire2948 was Auto-lynched. He was Colonel Roy Mustang.
Helgraf was Auto-lynched as well. He was Major Alex Louis Armstrong.
Night 2 begins and ends in approximately 24 hours.
Chimeras and Homunculi, PM me your actions, please.
Alchemists, your actions to Skippy, if you would.

Well, phooey. We've lost the baner, and Raiser wasn't Lujon as I expected.
At least we still have Coronel Roy Mustang somewhere.

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
"We lost Colonel Mustang AND Major Armstrong?!" the Face of Evil cries. "Gods, who will protect us now from the Homunculi?"
The Face of Evil fixes the other Alchemists with an accusing look. "This is all your fault! If you had listened to me and C-hunklets, this never would have h-happened. And n-now we're all going ... to d-die."
His voice breaking, the short man disappears into the shadows of a nearby warehouse.
((Seriously, I think the Homunculi are winning, guys. We've lost four of our number, including the two most important — damn you Helgraf and Vampire2948 — and only one Homonculi was killed, which used up Greed's kill. ))

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
Strum looks on with worry.
"Damn that's four of us gone already, are these Homunculi real or just a myth, I'm starting to think it's the latter. I wonder why those two important looking types didn't contribute?"
Strum returns to his room to ponder events.

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
So raiser was clean after all. Pity. I have to admit I feel more regret at the loss of Armstrong and Mustard. They had skills we needed in this fight, and can't be replaced.
With that I wander off to my room to drink to the fallen and retire for the night.
((Damn them for getting autolynched!))

Masato views the strange babble with a raised eyebrow.
O....kay.... And wasn't I the one saying not to jump to conclusions? Rasier didn't defend himself almost at all. So he is at fault.... But why...? I'm going to think about this in my room.
Masato goes to his room deep in thought.Last edited by Volug; 2007-11-03 at 01:24 PM.

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
(I say it is a problem of lack of attention from Haruki's part.
And what does linching greed has to do with that? Greed's chimeras can't be recruited, recruiting turns a common alchemist into a chimera! It is just a question of people wanting to be on the homunculi side.)

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
((Because unless somebody accepted Wrath's transmutation, there's only two chimeras in play, and both of them are Greed's Chimeras, who cannot be recruited unless he is dead.
They also die in Greed's place if he gets night killed, so unless we lynch him they are barred to the Father.
The Father can only recruit Chimeras into Homunculi, and Wrath is necessary to convert an Alchemist into a Chimera.))Last edited by pingcode20; 2007-11-03 at 08:43 PM.

((Actually, when I say he scries as "Human", I mean he scries as "Alchemist". Sorry if that confuses people......... I just edited it to read "Alchemist" in the rules.))
((Anyway, since we extended nighttime due to logistic problems, might I ask that any Alchemists/Homunculi/Chimera who haven't sent in their actions please take advantage of this extension to do so?))Last edited by Haruki-kun; 2007-11-04 at 01:47 AM.

Re: Alchemists - Game Thread
"Zant Feter's Fisssshk!" Nexus suddenly swears from the chaos of her bed.
DANK! She hurls her steel-bound copy of Varaghov's Alkhem Akadem--- in whose pages her head had been buried in a bout of obsessive study--- against the stone wall of the dormitory, causing a shower of sparks.
The copper-tressed woman half-stumbles, half-dashes to the balcony with her clothes a-shambles and hits the railing hard. There she leans and spews out the contents of her bowels.
For quite some time, she just hangs there, limp and drained, staring at the not-so-distant puddle of bile, blood and half-digested food. "Damn", she mutters.
The whole world spins around her in a grey maelstrom as she gets up and staggers to her luggage. Fumbling among her containers, she finally finds what she's looking for and pops a couple of aspirins without water. Her head clears a bit but still, all she can see is grey and all she can hear is the thunder of her hangover.
"Vy? Vy, ho, vy zid I hafta zrink ze pinkk vial?" she complains aloud to her shadow as she clumsily undresses and hurls her soiled clothes into the hamper not too far away.
"Oh, 'Keep ye avake zrough ze ztudith', zed dey... vullsh-*hic*-it!", she continues berating her shadow as she puts on a clean seasoned leather trenchoat over a knee-length pleated skirt and dark green blouse.
"Ad *ha-ec* leasht... DAMN!" Cursing through grit teeth, she practically dives for her fallen textbook. She flips through its worn pages but couldn't remember anything from her day's studies.
Nexus angrily shoves the pook into her breastpocket, pats herself down and smiles grimly as her fingers pass the handles of half a dozen knives and a couple of Krunovas. Swaying to the door and hiccupping all the way down the corridor, she makes her unsteady way to the cafeteria where she asks the night-chef for a bowl of good old chicken soup with heavy onions and peppers.
While waiting for the soup to be reheated, she sips gingerly from a cup of water with one hand and flips a coin idly with the other.
Finger to finger, over and under
Number to seal, head and tail
Wood to stone, over and under
Tin to copper, head and tail
Brass to bronze, over and under
Silver to gold, head and tail
Lead to iron, over and under
Iron to steel, head and tail
Coin to blade, over and under
Flesh to bone, head and tail
Blood to dust, over and under
Humming the old song they had taught her at her family's summer dacha when she was just beginning to discover her talent for alchemy, even the rotgut rice wine-induced migraine subsided... somewhat.
The cook came to her, bearing the late-waken student's soup. Nexus nodded at her, looking her over through the thick screen of her crimson bangs. Fairly young, skinny, uniform out of repair and much-darned. Must have come from a poor peasant family...
The alchemist sighed into her soup as the lonely kitchen attendant plonked herself into the seat opposite her and started babbling gossips. The pepper was good and so were the onions. She knew the hangover wouldn't be cured even into the next morning but she had to at least she had to eat something.
Tests be damned if there were going to be surprise tests. "Rashkt!", she swears as she scorches her tongue on the steaming soup.
Suddenly, her ears prick forward at something that the maid had said. Deaths. A dead homunculus and several more alchemists slaughtered in a fiery brawl. Fear. Great fear of impending doom. Ancient evils lurking in the shadows! The apocalypse is nigh, repent ye sinners and elope, ye lovers!
Nexus' eyes narrow at the dire events that had transpired during her estrangement from the halls, her estrangement from sobriety. Her mind cleared of the greyness of the liquor that she had oh-so-mistaken for a potion of wakefulness but remained clouded with the mysteries of the day.
Her hand went to her breast, over her heart (incidentally, over her Alkhem Akadem) and she bowed ever so slightly to the kitchen girl. "Many thanks, futchkra"
With that simple expression of gratitude, she quickly set off for her bedroom and bolted the doors and windows. Before she could sleep though, she still had to lull herself to slumber by strumming her favourite instrument...Avatarcred: HELL YEAH to THE Oneris! Ma'am, thank you, ma'am.
