Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Here is an example of what happens when I rush things (Which is odd because I made this when I was bored and had free time). The text bubbles are too small, so the text cramps up about the sides and looks ugly. The pointing hand looks more like he's horizontally giving her the finger, so part of the joke is lost. Their comparative heights are off, and he's missing his gloves entirely. You can't even perceive half the detail on the sapphire itself, which is the entire point of the joke.
Now, I could hold to a ~1/day schedule, but my art quality is greater if I have this 2/week schedule we have now. A ~1/day schedule would result in issues like the ones in the image above, it looks alright at a glance, but if you actually sit and look at it it has quite a few issues.Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2007-12-17 at 07:07 PM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
I probably should have realised that, by finishing the next half-dozen comics ahead of time, I'd have more time to do truly random stuff.
So say hello to Kilzu everyone
EDIT: Okay, I've put the final touches on page 23, the last page of the year. So for now I'm going to kick back, relax, and enjoy the upcoming holidays safe in the knowledge that each of my pages have been done for the year.Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2007-12-18 at 04:59 PM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
News: This day I have finished the schedule for the entirety of Book 1. It's set to end on the 19th of June, with 72 pages.
Seems kinda fitting really, since that's 5 days after my birthday

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
That's what happen when someone forget one of the rules for drama: never say 'Go! I will hold then off!'. That's a death sentence even for named characters.
Unless the character are made to battle against overwhelming odds and survive. In this case never let him engage in a duel, since it will have the same effects for him.Last edited by Arakune; 2007-12-19 at 11:56 AM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
Quasit is the lowest form of demon, though Imps are devils (Of which the lowest form is Lemure).
Devils start as Lemures, advance to Spined Devils, then Bearded Devils, and then, of course, Imps.
Kilzu's depression is largely, I think, due to his former Bearded Devil Clr 9 form suddenly becoming 3 CRs lower and 2 size categories smaller. Hence his use of "promoted" in inverted commas. Also: Kilzu shows up in Book 2 as a supporting character.Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2007-12-19 at 12:29 PM.

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
I'm putting this up early because I've got a lot of stuff to do on Monday, with it being Christmas Eve, and I'll probably be busy tomorrow as well with my Christmas D&D session

Re: Remember: An ABR flashback
First someone mistakes your Nimhelvin for a female, and now they're mistaking my mysterious psychopath for one too...
I sense a conspiracy!
Yes, the sword is a big one. Figuratively and literally. I'm basically using it as a kind of family emblem. Threeshades isn't just killing people with a sword, she's wiping out their existences with the blood-soaked legacy of her family!
