    As you appraoch, you can see that on the top crossbeam of the mine's entrance, there is a symbol, which is easily recognizable as the crest of House Cannith.

    The mine is an open hole in the side of the hillside. There are no doors or locks to trap. Further, he sees no sign of tripwires, deadfalls, or covered pits.

    The inside of the mine is dark. There are no signs of lights coming from inside.

    Stepping further into the mine, Upwelling turns back to look at the others querilously, as if to ask if they are coming, but with the harsh blue glow of his mace outlining his inhuman body, throwing each rivet and metal plate into sharp relief, complete with eyes that glow golden, he looks instead like some nightmarish horror come to life. With one hand, it's three fingers painfully obvious, beckoning, he turns to look deeper into the mine.

    Turning to the left, the party walks down the tunnel for a short distance before the light from Upwelling begins to glint off of something metallic on the floor. As they get closer, they can see that it is a circular 4-foot-wide adamantine hatch set into the floor. There is a simple locking mechanism in the center of the hatch and a small socket just to the left of the locking mechanism, coated with blue enamel.

    The locking mechanism is little more than a simple circular handle, which will need a turn to unlatch (Similar to what you might see on a modern day military ship). However, the socket next to the hatch appears to be much more intricate. It reminds you of the magical locks used by House Kundurak on their safety deposit boxes. The deposit boxes typically require a keycharm that has been magically linked to the box in order to open.

    No light here, don't like caves. If we rest, this might be a safe spot. Seems that way. But I think the first thing we need to do is see what is the other way. Make sure nothing can get us as we make camp. The shifter says, responding to the questions posed by both the goblin and the construct.
