My sides nearly split when Belkar revealed he took Craft Disturbing Mental Image. I'd love to have that feat.

Hang on, aren't we forgetting when V cast 'Owels Wisdom' on Belcar so he could read the scroll to heal Durkon 'cos no one else would, and he had a whole change of heart and vowed to never kill another living creature. That was just before V dispelled it.

It could just mean that bastard that he is, Belkar is also human (halfling) and part of being human (halfling) is that you occassionally act out of character. Hell, half of the nazis high command were loving family men (the other half were drug addicts and transvestites) but they still aren't the kind of guys you'd want as in-laws.

I enjoyed the cryptograms. I certainly cared more about figuring them out than most cryptograms I've solved before!

Also, Haley got to vent without everyone around her asking her why she is so obsessed with treasure.

I wonder if Haley is right and the gold evaporated. In our universe, gold is an element with a high melting point. In an alchemical universe, the elements might be air earth fire and water, and it might be just as easy to destroy gold as it is to create it. I haven't played D&D since 2nd edition so I don't know what alchemy is like these days.

    A little late, but....

Durkon's distressed expression in the last panel is so cute. :D

Oh! Oh! And the next comic #250! Special, I hope? Or maybe Rich will pull another #100. Either way, I'm looking to seeing it tomorrow morning - no sane person would expect our favorite artist to draw a comic bloated to the gills with turkey and such.

Does anyone else find it a bit disturbing that Roy didn't leap at the chance for some 'hands-on' biology lessons?
If I had been in Roy's high-heeled shoes, knowing that Durkon could reverse the effect at any time, then I would have spent some time exploring my new self. ;)

I should think that since mental images would either be psionics, which Rich doesn't use much or Illusionist. I think a gnome therefore should have that as an unsaid bonus feat. which leads back to the question where are all the gnomes? I truly don't ever remember seeing any. Hopefully new 250 anniversary type thingy is up soon!!!

Belkar spending XP on Crafting Disturbing Mental Images might explain why he was behind everyone else in XP in 124.

Also, the gnomes, as usual, are building quirky inventions.

I'll bite. While it's easy to speak of conquests with the opposite sex, actually making them takes a whole other kind of nerve (as most teenage boys know). This would only be worse since a swapped person would initially be very, very uncomfortable with parts on his own body that shouldn't be there in the first place - it'd feel like something you'd have to make up new words for "WRONG" for.

On a slightly saner note, I'll bet you a dollar that we're about to see why Durkon asked that question.

Okay, the mop Roy used for a wig ended up on the ground, but the cloak seems to have vanished. What will Elan do without his cloak?

It was a black dragon and therefore did not breathe fire, so the gold wouldn't have melted from heat.

No, this time we can use it to our advantage. One reason why gold is so valuble is because it is nigh impervious to all forms of chemical corrosion. Sure, you can bend it with your hands, but there is not a single acid or base that can melt it away. Why do you think it's used for teeth fillings and such?

Edit: That is to say: Black Dragon Acid, powerful as it is, would still be no match for the might of gold.

so if clouds had gold lining instead of silver linnings, then there would be no acid rain?

So just out of curiosity why would acid not destroy gold, yet a big explosion resulting in the colapse of the building destroy it. It ain't like it would go through nuclear fission/fusion. and even if it is one lump of gold they'd still be carrying that. if it was blown away, Haley would deffinately stay around to pick it up.
