Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
Alright, people, I didn't want to do this, but you leave me no choice.
*reaches into Bag of Holding*
*pulls out an accordion and a kazoo*
Y'all start bantering, or I'll start playing.

You know what's awesome? Folk metal with accordions. Like Korpiklaani.
It's quite danceable, though I prefer Medieval Rock for that in general.

I don't understand why people hate accordions so bad, actually.
I'd actually like to have one. And I can actually play the kazoo...
...badly.

Hey, maybe we can play the Courage the Cowardly Dog theme!
I like accordions. My uncle plays the accordion and he taught me.
I can play part of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony on the accordion."Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any other."

Er, whoops?
Bagpipes are awesome, although maybe that's just the Celt in me talking.
Em: That's pretty cool! I guess Beethoven's Fifth would need a few additional instruments, though.Last edited by The Bushranger; 2007-12-28 at 03:32 AM.

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
My first thought was this, but then I realised that's not the theme song. It's been so long since I saw that show.
(By the by, if you watch that song, go and listen to the Jabberjaw one too)
Also turns out I'm spending New Years alone. Again.

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
Because one half of my friends are going off to a party, while the other half will be in the packed full pub in town.
The good news is though that this means I can be on here for New Years and help ruin your minds with my (correct) time zone.
Say, do your family ever buy you presents in themes? Last year, on my birthday, I got a whole bunch of Nightmare Before Christmas stuff, then this year's birthday was filled with Legend of Zelda stuff, while Christmas has been filled with Resident Evil stuff (I'm loving the Umbrella umbrella though).

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
All of them.
The first song is by Corvus Corax, from Cantus Buranus, a reinterpretation of the Carmina Burana by Carl Orff. It's in Latin, but you realised that already.
The second song is by Subway to Sally, it's from their "Foppt den Dämon" album, the song is "Julia und die Räuber". On the album the parts are sung by a little girl, it sounds like a kids song, but the text is "blood, blood, bandits drink blood, robbery and murder, and assault are good. High from the gallows it sounds, high from the gallows it sounds, robbery and murder and assault are good" sung throughout.
The third song is by In Extremo, from Sünder ohne Zügel, it's a very... explicit German text. But I love it.
...If you wonder about Subway to Sally albums, I have all but the first two (which I can't get my hands on without amazon, it seems), the fourth, Bannkreis, the fifth, Hochzeit, and the sixth, Herzblut, are their best, IMHO.
@V: Poor you, my birthdays aren't celebrated, but I still always get a lot of presents.

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
Don't worry Cat-Muffin; I'll be spending it alone uup here in my room on the laptop and reading. I shall join you in a (correct) time zone party on New Year's Eve with all the other lonely (or underage) Brits here!
Sadly, I never get themed stuff. Although this year they seem to have done it accidently.
Horror and Nightmare stuff from immediate family.
Showery, girly stuff from the rest.
Theming is OK, but I'd prefer bits and bobs rather than themes. Although a proper Nightmare theme would make me ecstatic.
On another note: my birthdays are never celebrated. I get £20 and a few cards.

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
That's one word for it.
It was also the first time I've ever actually experienced true nausea, as in the "the room is spinning around you as you run from the computer to the bathroom" kind.
At least it only happened to me once; Mom was that way for four days.

Re: Dragonrider's Random Banter in Conjunction with the Weighted Cube #92
Any one who is ill, has ever been ill or plans to get ill in the near future currently has my sympathy. I got Fever, Shakes, hacking cough all the usual ENT symptoms. I actually got sent home from work for sitting at my desk shaking and shivering this morning.
The scary thing is that I don't feel any better after a full day of sleep. Me thinks a hot toddy is calling.... that or drowning in my own snot. (Apologies to the with more delicate tastes.) Oh and my eyes are sore..and ....:Why cannot life be simple? I am simple, therefore surely something that i try to do must also be simple
