The Chainsword is pretty common technology, not that hard to find if you know where to look.
The space marines have a power sword, which is sort of like a lightsaber I guess.
but this laser rapier is 4th era Eternus technology. It's amazing that you'd actually've heard of them.

While I do know quite a bit about the star wars universe, the laser rapier was inspired mainly by the power sword more than the lightsaber.

Also, my remix of the twelve days is in perfect sync, I worked crazily to make sure that it syncs perfectly. Don't believe me? You may wanna examine it yourself.

C'mon, Doomer. It makes no sense that you would have a power sword, Rand is right. We're trying to create realism.
However, Given how well the Sovice are doing, they might have developed similar technology at some point. They would be extremely careful with it, though.
