Anti-Heroes
Yes, you guys are probably getting pretty tired of comics, but being that I love drawing in the OotS art style, I figured I'd try my hand at it and give you something at least a little original. So I came up with this:
NOTE: This thread is outdated. If you're looking for the new thread, look no further.
What happens when the monsters you're supposed to be fighting band together and start hunting you down looking for vengeance? Well, I don't know, but a young Rogue named Lana is about to find out from a perspective she never thought she'd see in her life... or death.
Updates Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Re: Anti-Heroes
I... Might... Actually...
No, I refuse to accept that there could possibly be a comic series in these forums that I will actually bother to track regularly.
But you came dangerously close to being the first, and that's a monumental achievement in itself. The Chilli God has Spoken.

Re: Anti-Heroes
Nice. This deserves a place on our boards! Made me laugh, and a comic about anti-heroes is a nice idea. Keep them coming and you'll officially jump to No.2 on my favourites list on here!

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. And don't worry, I've got no intention of stopping any time soon!
I also managed to get issue four done! Issue five is also well in the works, so it should be appearing soon. Enjoy!

Re: Anti-Heroes
Nice job, Zarah! Honestly? I think this has become my favorite OOTS style fan comic. Failing Saves is close, but there's just something about Anti-Heroes that just makes it...awesome.
So...just hope you have enough ideas to fuel you for a good long while.

Hehe planar exchange students...they're all the same
Seriously, you have quite a bit of talent. I think this has taken the No.2 spot on my list and its pushing for No.1, give us more of the same!
I also recommend getting a banner in your signature, so that you can direct people to this thread. I think a lot of people are ignoring all the new webcomics that are starting up, but this is definitely worth looking at.Last edited by banjo1985; 2008-01-04 at 03:57 AM.

Re: Anti-Heroes
Ouch. These comments hurt.
Do you really feel the need to shun Failing Saves in order to compliment another webcomic? This whole Webcomic trend started off as a bit of fun, but somewhere along the line you guys managed to turn it into a competition. I sigh in your general direction!
Anyway, rant over. Yes. Nice webcomic. Keep it up.Avatar and photo by Dr. Bath.

Re: Anti-Heroes
not that we dont enjoy your comic Salmon, but for me (personally)....the warforged design is wrong...try to look at OOTF, from the webcomic sections...it is much more accurate IMO.

Re: Anti-Heroes
Wow, this is quite interesting. I'm glad I caught this on the first page! This is one of the very, very good webcomics freeloading on the OotS forums.
Keep up the good work (and I second the suggestion to get a sig-banner).
Banjo, Landfish, I like your comics, too, just never got the chance to comment before page four or so, so I enjoy them in silence.NaNoWriMo Beat Me

Re: Anti-Heroes
By <Insert Diety/ies of your choice here>, you're right! This obviously means that anti-HEROS takes place AFTER the evens in Order of the Stick. Maybe we should ask our current crop of PCs to tell us what gender V is?
As an aside, waay back in the first comic, note how similar the elven fighter/party leader looks to Roy, and the bald archery guy kinda reminds me of Haley...NaNoWriMo Beat Me

Re: Anti-Heroes
Aww, don't worry Salmon. Your comic would definitely be first if the comics were linked to instead of spoilered...for some reason it just takes forever for me to load the first page. :P The two comics are probably about even, anyway. Seeing as they're the only two comics I feel the need to check regularly.
And besides. I'm not shunning Failing Saves. Isn't it taking a little break for updating? And even when I am reading, I don't comment on it. But it is really good!
Anyway, Zarah, keep up the good work!
P.S. Competition is the spice of life.

Re: Anti-Heroes
Don't worry Salmon, Failing Saves is still a great piece of work. It's probably the chief piece of inspiration that I used for my own comic (next to OotS, obviously). I'm not trying to compete with you for greatness or anything. I'm just having fun.
First things first, that's not Miko. I like to think this takes place in a different world than OotS, although I haven't really made up my mind for that yet, so we'll see. She just looks similar because I borrowed her hair from my attempt at drawing a Miko-like character, so there you go.
Secondly, the "good guys" do kinda look similar to the OotS characters, but that's because they were my earlier drawings, when I was still basing them directly off the characters. Now I'm trying to be a bit more original with my creations.
Anyway, I took some advice from you guys and made some signature banners. I had a few ideas, so I decided to just make them all!
Comic #6 is almost ready to release too. I should have it up sometime later today.[ There was a signature here. It's gone now. ]
