Now tell me why the hell Anti-Heroes are not yet on the sidebar, among official comics. Besides being of higher quality than Erfworld, it's uhm, a tiny bit closer to OOTS than Erf as well.

A bunch of my friends read OOTS as well -- heck, one of them even knew it before my propaganda campaign -- yet none of them has a clue that there's something this good on the forums.

Also, AH being an official comic would reduce the chance that Zarah turns around and simply walks away. There's a duty, you know...

Erfworld is good, if it updated twice a week it'd be as as good as Oots
And yes... part of the quality are regular updates because once you became a fan it really ruins the fun having to wait. Just looks at the Erfworld archives, at times when we had updates 2x/week and a klog every 2 weeks, the strips had 10 pages of comments, each. With the irregular once in a while updates you barely see more than 5 pages of comments (and there is much more time to post in between the strips, so mostly the same few folks discuss ideas now). I take that as an indicator how much interest people show in the comic. Gaining popularity is based on art and ideas, keeping the popularity is based on constantly keeping up the good work.

I think AH has a lot of potential. For example you could put it on the sidebar (updates 3x the week) and restart with a few episodes. maybe even do a little art upgrade (I'm fine as it is, but there were post saying there are not enough details like runes on the walls). With a cushion of 1 month of comics it should even leave Zarah some free time.

EDIT: back on topic, they are ANTI-heroes, like in EVIL group .. it'd be strange if they didn't have fights (besides, catfights seem to become a running gag and trademark - see banners)

I fail to see why a restart would bring anything good. It could be migrated to the sidebar as-is. Continuity is a big part of any story.

And art upgrade... is not really needed. While OOTS - The Real Thing is still much better where it comes to contents (usually several good jokes per update), Anti-Heroes and Whitefeather are the two of OOTS-likes with art on par with The Real Thing. Of course, improvements are always a great thing, but the current state is already "good enough".

Personally, I wouldn't want to "restart," since then I'd have to backtrack through my own plot again, and I hate not having a moving story.

However, I wouldn't mind doing an art upgrade, since I have found a few tricks in Illustrator that I didn't know were there before, but it might wait for a while. I'll try to make the transition as seamless as possible when the time comes, though.

And as for the topic of my comic being on the main site, I can't see it ever happening. Not that it wouldn't be awesome, but I doubt there would be two comic of the same style right next to each other. (Especially when OotS is so much better than mine )

as for the sidebar ideas: Yes, I really doubt that it will happen, Rich does not read the forums so there is little chance he will stumble upon AH. What you say that OotS and AH are too similiar will only be true if Redcloak and the other evil guys from Oots get more space, until then it is complementary (like dark choclate and milk choclate ... no wait ... the light side and the dark side)
