Default Light in the Dark - Spell

Here's another one of my Truth line of spells.

    Light in the Dark
    Abjuration
    Level: Sor/Wiz 5, Clr 5, Druid 6
    Components: V
    Casting Time: 1 Standard Action
    Range: Self, 40 ft. radius
    Effect: See Text
    Duration: 1 round / 2 levels
    Saving Throw: No
    Spell Resistance: No

You cry out a word of Truth and impair the magical abilities of those near you. All spell casters within 40 feet of you must make a caster level check (DC 11 plus your caster level) when casting a spell or the spell fails. They still expended the spell slot but nothing happens.

You can see another one of these Truth themed spells here: http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showt...=revised+adept

Seems kinda weak. 6th level spell that slightly impairs casters, although it wouldn't do much to one of an appropriate level for the party to fight? Also, that is a pretty low duration.

Against an equal level caster (within 40' of you) wouldn't this spell typically shut down 1/2 of the spells they cast?

DC is 11+ your caster level. If they are your level then they would need to roll an 11 or better to sucesfully cast the spell.

The duration I agree can probably go up and probably even bring the level down some. I'll make those changes.
