Re: Heroes of the Hour
I've started on the banners (well, banner so far.) However, I only have access on weekdays; so it might take a while to complete.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
If that's King Kobold the eight, when will we see his castle. The way it was set up sounds like it is going to look pretty good in comic form.
Listen, lad. I built this kingdom up from nothing. When I started here, all there was was swamp. Other kings said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built it all the same, just to show 'em. It sank into the swamp. So, I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So, I built a third one. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp, but the fourth one... stayed up! And that's what you're gonna get, lad: the strongest castle in these islands.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
I made two banners.
First we have a very basic Heroes of the Hour banner with nothing but text.
And then we have a banner with people in it.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
Looks like it'll be fun. I may be biased, but I'd like to see more of Hist!
Also, how 'bout introductions for the characters? I'd like to know who the other players are (I already know Hist, though others may not!).I have returned!! Not that most of y'all know whom I am.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
I want that new comic NOW ! The old one can only stay funny for so long.
Oh yah, I simpily wanted to ask, who is the leader.
I think Hist should be the leader, since all the others wouldn't make sense. King Kobold might because of his status, but really Hist would be funnier, as it would create a rivielry between the two characters, explianing King's lust for his armour and hope for his death.AVATAR BATTLE ROYALE!

Re: Heroes of the Hour
You know, Mz. Jackal, you really are great at advertising.
Get people's characters in your comic, and voila, you have your first few readers. They'll all want the comic to be seen by others, so they'll probably advertise as much as they can (by means of banners for instance). And then there'll be loads of people who hear about this who want to be in the comic as well.
It's brilliant!Avatar by the illustrious Dr. Bath.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
Having worked with Hist, I believe that you've beautifully captured his finely balanced sense of self-preservation and foolhardy bravery. Well done!

Re: Heroes of the Hour
I'm not going to be able to post the next comic this weekend, because I am not going to be at the right computer to do that. I'm sorry, I promise that I will post one monday. If you find it hard to wait, that makes me glad; my comic is liked!

Re: Heroes of the Hour
I demand a new comic! Now!
I find it quite a pity we haven't seen my character yet, really, but it makes sense. There's only one comic up yet, and the villains are always introduced later in the story. Besides, this way by the time you get to them, your art will have improved a lot and our characters will look awesome right away, as they were meant to be. In order to ever get there though, we're going to have to get this comic moving.
But seriously, take your time, as long as it's good.Avatar by the illustrious Dr. Bath.

Re: Heroes of the Hour
Holy crap, talk about a motley crew. I think I'm going to make this my newest MSN slogan.
"Zey are not flowers! Zey are 'ERBS!"
Great job with the comic, and I wonder what those herbs are going to be used for... Perhaps some nefarious and dastardly scheme or plot?
*mad laughter*

Re: Heroes of the Hour
Nameless has a point.
Also, "Herbs, schmerbz!". Nice and grumpy, as he's supposed to be. MrEdwardNigma looks a lot different than I'm used to, but it's oddly suiting.
Looking forward to comic 3.Last edited by MrEdwardNigma; 2008-01-28 at 03:27 PM.
