    ehm, no offence but... what ever spell you just casted, it failed. Your sheet has three scrolls on them yet none of the two spells in question are on the spell list of the duskblade. That pretty much means that unless you got ranks in UMD, there is no way you can use them other then cleaning your sword with them.

    I looked at the spells list under the spells chapter, but they only listed the spells for duskblade that are new My appologies...

    At any rate, when you move within the 5-ft distance by stepping into R10, you trigger my readied action to move out.

    ninja'd? Oh you mean the ready action? Well, the move to R10 stays but you can rewrite it from there.

    Edit: and no, for the sake of the rules, a readied action takes place just before the triggering action occurs. But this doesn't wipe the triggering action away.

    For example, if I was a sniper (I believe you've been in that situation?) and readied an action to shoot you as soon as LoS was established, then you still would have to enter the LoS cause I could not shoot before you did. But since rules need a certain order of rewind, for the sake of initiative it was ruled that the readied action comes before the triggering action.

    So yes, you move into the spot R10 but for the sake of rules you finnish your arrival after I have left R11 and thus that means no AoO.

    Well there were a few matches in the past where I saw people take readied actions and then when the triggering players was done with his turn, the guy taking the readied action only was allowed a move. I never really understood why and just wanted to make sure this wasn't such a case.
    Don't really recall which matches that were either... None of mine as far as I remember.

    Any ways, if its my turn at the top of a new round, then I'll better get moving.

    Edit: Okay, this is just embarrassing... I fail the jump, manage to grab the edge, but cant pull my self up...

    free action: let go of the edge and just plunge down with guisarme still in hand in M12

    Since I still have movement left, (climb checks are part of movement so I am just assuming that this whole failure is counted as a double move action) you see me disappear beneath the bridge.

    Psychodelia gets a full round of actions. It is was the top of round 6.

    However, missing the jump ended that move action*. Attempting the pull-up cost a move action. After dropping, she'd done.

    Now it's the bottom of round 6; Daluth's turn.


    *The SRD says that with a failed jump (and successful REF save), "You end your movement grasping the far edge. If that leaves you dangling over a chasm or gap, getting up requires a move action and a DC 15 Climb check."

    One could interpret that to mean that Psychodelia doesn't even get to attempt to pull-up until the following round, but since she missed it and dropped, the result is the same.

    sigh... take ten on a swim check vs DC 10, swim 5 feet as a move action before walking out of the water and back to my cozy tree at R11 as a second move action.

    So double move to reach R11, this time no readied actions or tricks, your turn.
    Little word of caution, I do still hold my guisarme. And I am soaking wet. Which makes me agitated. Just so you know....
