Ok i start out at Z14 carrying my light crossbow in one hand and my scroll of shield in the other.

i use the scroll and then drop it on the ground. i then cast resistance.

ok mavian, i had a readied action to shoot at you as soon as you got into range. that would of been when you about when you passed through N16 or O15, i think its up to the ref where i shot at you or depending on how you got to S14 that would be how i attacked you. so i think i should wait for the ref on this one. but where ever it was, i attacked you with my light crossbow so here is the attack roll on it. (1d20+2)[14]

Which requires an opposed Sense Motive From You. *Edit: I don't believe you can beat that, which means you should be denied your dex bonus.

Standard Action: Stick my Hand Crossbow into your gut and pull the trigger. This doesn't trigger an AoO due to my Versatile Combatant feat.

Attack Roll: (1d20+7)[18] If you fall for my feint, this against your flatfooted ac.

Damage: (1d4)[4]

That doesn't make sense.

He's got a listed dex bonus of +2, and he cast shield, for an other +4 bonus. So that equals 16. I don't see anything else on his sheet or in his actions thus far that would increase it past that, so how does a 17 miss?

well i guess i must of been looking at the wrong rules for sheild, i think i have an outdated spell so i thought it was +7 because of what it said on my outdated spell. so i think he won. oh well.
