    No Dialog.

That is, no lines, no character development...his only purpose in life is to be slaughtered so that the PCs or Main Characters can see that there's something capable of slaughtering things.

Now, for instance. Generally, I'm aiming for Sunday evening, European time.

This issue is a bit lighter on the humor, but displays some of Aiven's mad skillz.

You'll see in the next issue. Stay tuned.

And I like how she pulls her knives/short swords.
Long knives. They count as short swords, but do slashing damage, like the wakizashi. The DM houseruled them into existence on her player's request, for style reasons.

In my experience, that's about the speed with which a new party member is introduced in an actual game... Verisimilitude be damned, nobody wants to sit through a lengthy job interview at the game table.

Well as a player of serval DnD computer games (neverwinter nights, baldurs gate etc, etc) im used to walk around with every new party member some time before a new member is introduced to the party.
So what i meant was that it was many members introduced in one time...
Wait now i get it she was the "new" party member to their party right? never you mind then

This isn't bad. Very good art. But I wish it updated more than once a week.

The worst game I've ever played in (where the DM's whole point was to pull the carpet from under us in the end in a "rocks fall, everybody dies" lose-lose scenario) had us meeting up on the road. The encounter kind of went like this.

    "Hi."
    "Hi."
"So you guys want to adventure together?"
    "OK.

(Head to bar, receive highly questionable mission)

I wish now I had asked the stupid bartender why he even gave two ****s about recovering a holy symbol from some demon.

I'll be keeping an eye on this. You've got a good sense of timing and storytelling, the art's good, and you hit on a lot of roleplaying truths that I don't recall other authors mentioning very much.

Sorry for the delay, my girlfriend's in town for the week, so I'm having different priorities. She also has a certain influence on the storyline. She liked the romantic innuendo in the last issue, so I decided to keep it around a bit more.

The next issue is about two-thirds done.

    @ Chronicled: Thanks.

Oh, that's great, powerful cases, all of them full casters, then they accuse her of powergaming. Keep it up.

Oh, and look, I'm the first one to comment. Again.

So we have a Human Paladin, a Gnome Beguiler, a Dwarf Conjurer, and an Elf Fighter with a couple Swordsage levels. Clearly we're pointing towards illusion magic.

Four non-standard classes mentioned here... nice. I'm loving the Tome of Battle reference. Plus, a funny joke AND plot development!

Cleric. Hence the comment about full casters. To his credit, he's staying away from Divine Metamagic, though.

    a Gnome Beguiler
Though you can't tell with certainty from the comic (her skin is a bit greyish), she is actually a Whisper Gnome.

    a Dwarf Conjurer
Very much so. He took the Focused Specialist alternate class feature from PHB II and went into the Master Specialist prestige class as soon as possible. The man just likes his conjurations.

and an Elf Fighter with a couple Swordsage levels.
She is a Wildelf Ranger 3/Swordsage 2, ready for the Wildrunner prestige class.

Clearly we're pointing towards illusion magic.
Udaf tossed out a Prestidigitation, which is universal... he might actually have banned the illusion school! Who knows? (I wasn't going to, but I haven't decided yet... and with Ginver in the group, it's not that much of a loss... but which wizard would give up Mirror Image and Invisibility if he didn't have to?)

EDIT: Just saw that some of my banners have been sigged. Yay!

Another great comic seems to be up.
Now with the party introduced the aveture can begin! (my god that sounded cheesy).
Anyway...the characters seems to be intresting enough.
(remember that the story and the humor plays a extremly important role in a stick-comic since the art can never...well you know)
I cant wait to see whats going to happend next.
