Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Shun, FFF will never die!! Wait.... now I thnik about Fat Fish Fury IS actually a kind of rendundant name now. Where did all the fish go? Maybe it's already dead! It's a zombie!
Seriously, I remember the first 8 characters and there are only what.. 2 of them still around? But what can we do? I guess it was kind of inevitable... how long has ABR been running?
(I sometimes wonder what happened to some of them?)

Meh, we just need to attract new people to Abr, perhaps we should start using those Abr banners again.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
The first ABR thread was made in late June of last year. So ABR as a whole is almost a year old.

I bet YPU never thought that this is what ABR was to come.
Rand, I'd say not likely but we managed to convince you to join the side of the plots so..... anything's possible
Not that ever stopped your random non-canon killing of course.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Sounds like an exciting idea. I certainly hope that something like that happens.
I mean, the end of the world is a pretty big thing. I didn't even KNOW what the heck you were doing when I joined. The end of the world seems to overshadow it now (of course, that is only what I think. I created the sub-plot so I am not the best person to ask about what's what here in ABR these days).
Also, King Bortak has gathered many people in his army, yet I actually have no plan for what he does with the army. That idea you came up with would probably be the best one.AVATAR BATTLE ROYALE!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Well, things were going slightly downhill when both Threeshades and Salmon vanished. That was in Salmonville, where Yeril nabbed the key and we skipped forward a couple weeks.
By this time, the Citadel had reached Tajira, to tie up some loose ends regarding Ins, Lying's doppelganger, who was allying Sovice with Pikalite. The Citadel was drawn by a large energy signature and a possible key to Tajira, where the whole Sovice issue flared up again and under fire from the Yamato, the Citadel set out once again in the direction of Alphantica.
Meanwhile, following the obliteration of Blauport, a number of survivors of the Battle fled on a retrofitted helicopter to Fort Longcat, where they've largely been trying to find a way back down.
So factoring in the new Vert Doom issue, we could say that the characters split off into two factions: Faction A wants to find the keys to get the Talisman of the Dragon in order to control all of the dragons like Sildyu did, and thereby take out Vert Doom. Faction B wants to find the keys to get the Talisman to locate the missing dragons in order to form an alliance with them, so they can work together to take out Vert Doom. Therefore the conflict arises not from "Good" VS "Evil" but from "Necessity" VS "Choice" (Making the dragons help or letting the dragons decide to help). There's also the possible ramifications of what happens if the character with the Talisman decides not to relinquish its powers when the threat is over, which could lead into yet another possible plot.
Perpetual plots, gotta love 'em.

Tell me, Omega, are your "Fitz's ABR adventures" going to have anything to do with ABR? Is your character going to become part of the plot?

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
List of ABR Badguys:
Threeshades - wants to control the dragons and take over the world
Vert Doom - wants to destroy and consume the world
The Void - being of wanton chaos and destruction
Corrupt Plotgoblins - scheming to take over the world, somehow
Ins - using the sovices to take over the world?
Dr. Doom Penguinman whose name I can't remember - trying to start a war between the Guinfolk and the Pikalites
Nightwing - kind of a jerk, dies a lot
Did I miss any?Last edited by Fawkes; 2008-05-13 at 01:05 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
The Dr Doom guinoid is called Tvor.
Archel has effectively been neutralised, and Mecha-Nightwing was nuked at point-blank range. I think it's fair to say that without extenuating circumstances they're out of the running.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Hair is probably the hardest part of the human form to draw in virtually any art style that incorporates it. In Burlewan style, hair can be duplicated from character to character but the result is bland and uninteresting, so making different hairstyles for different characters, even just bit characters, becomes a challenge in creativity. In painting, you have to try and match your source material (If a portrait) or come up with extreme volumes of detail from almost thin air. In anime styling, every character has a different hair style, which in the black & white of most manga books makes it easier to distinguish the characters from one another, but because characters are often the lynchpin of anime advertising they need to be as distinctive as possible as well.
Simply put, get out with your Aberrations and your Primordial Ooze, hair is the most annoyingly versatile and variable thing in artistic creation
