Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
THe thing I've learn't from painting and realistic drawings, is that you can make a huge painting with lots going on, but if you want to make it look realistic, you can spend around 10 hours just drawing a hand or a face.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Bah, I suck at painting. I'm allot better with a pencil then I am with the computer though, with the computer everything always seems so..pleh...
Wish I had a scanner, I got an entire notebook filled with sketches, etc
And onto something completely different that has nothing to do with anything. Really I don't have a reason.*looks innocent* I'm trying to figure out who the current active abr'ers are. If I missed anyone feel free to yell at me.
Lying, Mecha, Rand, Jason, Q, Memnarch, myself, Slizard (sp?) Omicron, Nameless, Keris, Puppetmaster, Fayt(?), Ninja cho, Calam, KingofPar, Eita(?)Last edited by Tiffanie Lirle; 2008-05-14 at 01:53 PM.

Once, there was a forum thread.
Then, there came the Artists.
Now, a whole world stands, at the precipice of adventure.

Do you mean where's
Bowser'sNath Bortak's hide out at the moment? Not a clue.
That would be the most recent events have been occurring, as apposed to the citadel or Fort Longcat. If you want a OotS style Touhou avatar, send me a request.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Uh, hey guys.
I'm currently working on Alphantica's response to two heavily armed vessels entering their territory. I'm also busy with other things, so don't expect it too soon or it to be too elaborate.
A hint: Habakkuk.Visit the Chocolate Hammer IRC channel!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Well, King Bortak isn't hiding out yet. He's still where he was. I just have been too busy to make a comic recently.
And my next comic will be on KingofParades' blimp, so the comic explaining what King Bortak's army is going to do next is going to take a little while.
Sorry.AVATAR BATTLE ROYALE!

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Hmm...well I probably should get something out explaining why Lying chose to head to Alphantica, though I have an English Language exam early tomorrow so I can't really promise anything.
Now given the intel Alphantica has on Lying etc. it's probable they won't open fire on the Citadel...but I'm not so certain about the Yamato...
Also, Habakkuk as in the Hebrew prophet that openly questioned the wisdom of a certain capitalised pronoun? Or as in Project Habakkuk, the WW2 plan to make a massive floating airfield from ice?Last edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2008-05-15 at 05:58 AM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
Well, if I had known that the Yamato was still following, I could probably have fit it into the comic that I made.
Also, given the location, the ships are likely to be made out of ice. That's going to look cool.If you want a OotS style Touhou avatar, send me a request.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
#groan#
At any rate, "cool" but impractical. Alphantica's climate is arctic by way of magical and alchemical tampering, the island is after all right next to a desert. So any ships made of ice probably wouldn't survive too long outside their own waters, and to boot ice is extremely fragile.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
In order to make a ship (Or, as we seem to be assuming, an armada) out of pykrete, we'd need to deforest most of the planet.
Memnarch, I wouldn't worry too much about missing out the Yamato in your comic, it is a submersible after all.
Okay, so I got a piece out, it's just a simple one-frame piece but it works for it's purpose. I even remembered Nameless' red text tooLast edited by Lyinginbedmon; 2008-05-15 at 12:45 PM.

Re: Avatar Battle Royale Discussion (Part V)
I know, I was going to say in the comic:
"You can't even see my eye's! You just keep drawing them for some reason!"
But I know how much you people hate breaking the fourth wall...
