SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
Ok, this is the official Texas Hold 'em thread for SMBG.
This is way things will work. At the beginning of each hand I will PM each player their two-card hand. Please DO NOT reply to that PM, it will just clutter my inbox unnecessarily.
The players will then put in their ante, plus their blind (small or big). The player with the "dealer chip" always bets last, and the two people to the "left" of him are the small blind and the big blind respectively. If you are either blind, I will automatically put your chips in the pot. Everyone else has to put in an ante too, but that will be automatic as well.
I will be using a random card generator which remembers what cards have been drawn, so it's just like a real deck.
There will be a round of bets, starting with the small blind (or person to the "left" of the dealer), after the hands have been dealt (but before the flop), then after the flop, then another after the turn card, then finally the last round of bets after the river.
If any of those terms are unfamiliar to you, I suggest you look them up (google works, so does wikipedia) because I will be using them the whole time.
OK we have SIX slots:
1. Alarra
2. Destro Yersul
3. Lucky ze Leprechaun
4. Case
5. Indurain
6. Gezina
This means we need two more people! Sign up and lets get this rolling!
Other info: everyone will start out with 300 "chips." the ante will be 2, the small blind 5 and the big blind 8. In order to be in for a round you must call (match) the big blind blind since its (usually) the highest bet for the first round.
Alright, I would like my four people who are automatically in to post in here, saying they still want to play. I also want them to post a number between 1 and 10, no repetitions. This will determine who gets the dealer chip first and the order everyone "sits" around the "table."
So any other questions or point I need to clarify?

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Only 1 more slot open!)
So far we're at 11 interested people. That's enough for 2 tables. And this thread has actually only been open a few hours...by the end of the day, we could easily have enough for an 18 player tournament....although whether that's okay with RG or not.....

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Only 1 more slot open!)
OK two tables it is!
At the first table we have: Alarra, Destro, Case, Lucky, Indurain, and Gezina!
At the second table (which I will make a new thread for) we have: Selrahc, Logic Vampire, Ascobol, Kyrian, Chris the Pontifex, and we need one more...
I'd like to keep it at twelve though... 18 could get unruly.
Table 2 thread. If you haven't picked a number please do so. Table 2's set of numbers will be different so don't worry about repititions with group 1.Verminaard avatar by drKarling

Yes, we can do that. When each table is down to three players, we will combine into one table.

IT IS ALARRA's TURN TO PLACE A BET.

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
wait.....*thinks over rules* I think that once the small and big blinds go in, betting goes to the next person on the table and those in the blind don't get to call or raise until it gets all the way around again.....

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
Um...the ante is technically considered seperate from the betting. So people's ante doesn't count towards their betting. The table should read like this..((sorry I don't know how to do tables...but you can get the idea))
NAME Lucky Case Gezina Alarra Destro Indurain
CR 298 295 292 298 298 298
CIP 2 5 10 2 2 2
#tC 8 5 0 8 8 8
Also in the first round of betting the person to the left of the big blind goes first, which would be Alarra in this case...not Case.
((Beaten to the punch on that one...))
((Sorry, I play a lot, and kinda take this game seriously))

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
Why, so it is.... ;D
And hmm...we've already antes in you say? so 8 chips to call anyway... hmm....we usually don't play with antes, good idea to though....
Why not? I call.Okay, I'm reserving my decision to call until we figure out the amount of chips and how these antes work....although I will probably still call.

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
The ante doesn't count... really? Wow, I never knew that... does that mean the big and small blinds have to put in an ante as well?

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
Does my table looke right now?
Everyone put in 2, then the blinds put in 5 and 8 respectively so to call everyone needs to have paid 10 chips total.
Also, antes help to make the game go faster so someone can't just have 1 chip left and keep folding until they get pocket aces.Verminaard avatar by drKarling

Re: SMBG Texas Hold 'em (Table 1 closed)
Yup...table's all good!
And I concur on the ante.
To speed up the game, when my turn comes around I fold
((Highlight...done this way so Destro doesn't see it by mistake))
