    Default Mental stat classes

I'm looking to join a game with these stats rolled:

    STR: (4d6)[15]
    DEX: (4d6)[17]
    CON: (4d6)[14]
    INT: (4d6)[17]
    WIS: (4d6)[18]
    CHA: (4d6)[22]

    (yes, those are correct)

I'm thinking about either Sorcerer or Warmage, but I want to take advantage of all the high mental stats if I can. I'm not looking for build advice, just suggestions on other classes/PrCs that would really like those stats.

Oh, and it's ECL 6, And the books are Eberron, Core, and Complete books, no ToB or Psionics. (potentially other books/classes subject to DM approval). Just lookin' for some ideas, thanks guys!

Between a Sorcerer and a Warmage, go with Sorcerer. A Warmage is just a Sorcerer with less power and less options. Light armor proficiency is not worth that (not even close).

You might want to look into a Lesser Aasimar. It's +0 LA and gives +2 CHA.

Your stat generation is 4d6 no drop? Beware of superpowered encounters. On that note, I advise picking a class that's damned powerful in its own right, since the arcanist in this group might be charged with preventing TPKs on a daily basis. On that note, I would recommend Sorceror over Warmage, and a Sorceror/Full Casting PrC at that.

Beguiler can fill two roles at once, and it would make good use of all those nice stats, though you're missing a lot of goodies from the Sor/Wiz spell list. If someone else is planning on going arcane, though, go for it.

On another note, where could I find Lesser Aasimar?

Could make a decent Archivist with that- they need good Wis and Int (can't remember which does what).

With stats like that you can play anything your freaking like. A Warmage would be a waste of good stats.

Dang, no psionics, huh? And my first suggestion would have been 3.0 Psion, since they pretty much needed every stat to be high.

I've played a Paladin with a Charisma that high. You never EVER fail a save unless you roll a 1. It's a nice feeling!

What? 3.0 Psions only needed one stat.

With that roll, artificer would be your natural choice.

I'd go favored soul. The CHA's your primary casting stat, but your high WIS raises your save DCs. Plus, it's a much more physical class than sorcerer, so you can take advantage of your pretty darn good physical stats in addition to the OMGWTFBBQ?!? mental stats.

You could take a look at Duskblade and double up as a tank. You could do it pretty easily, and be succesful too, with those stats.

Hell, you could play a monk, and get away with it.

Bards are a pretty versatile class - you have spells from charisma and skills from your intelligence, and with careful PrC'ing you could go in pretty much any direction, including towards more martial capabilities.

Also... Factotum would take advantage of your Int obviously, your Charisma I think would help your turning, I dunno about Wisdom or physical stats, though.

I think this might be useful for you.

Personally, I think you should do a Bard build with a three level dip into Arcane Duelist and take Snowflake Wardance.

A commoner with basketweaving would be pretty good. Being as how craft basket is your main skill, it helps to have a high int to make better baskets.

If you don't go the uber cheese route of the basketweaver, I'd go with a Paladin if you have never played one. Nice stats all around will make you a beast. Or a monk, stats like that you would have fun with a monk most likely.

This is one instance in which I think playing a Monk may very well be acceptable.

4d6 NO DROP? Seriously? Watch out for generous DMs, for in their heart they are truly sadists. Expect the hardest encounters of your life.

Anywho, casters are obviously the most powerful.

If you want a meatshield, Cha 22 screams Hexblade/Blackguard to me. Maybe pick up Evasion from a Ring or another class. You'll be a pretty effective tank, plus you'll get a minion to ride or boss around and be an ok half caster.

I say go for Paladin/Pious Templar for crazy saves and mettle. This could also be accomplished with Hexblade, I suppose... but I don't like hexblades. :)

Eh, definately go something with full casting. Bard into Sublime Chord maybe, or Sorceror. If your DM gave you 4d6 with no drop I'd be worried, and if I'm worried I'm going full caster just to be sure. Hell, you could do full Wizard with those stats if you wanted, then move into Archmage, Master Specialist or Abjurant Champion if you wanted.

Paladin of Tyranny/Hexblade/Blackguard= 3x your charisma bonus to saves from spells, 2x your charisma bonus to other saves.

I'd consider a cleric. They have the fun of a spell caster with the reliability of full plate and melee power. You have the stats to swing a mace, cast some spells, and generally be better than everyone else.

Actually, now that you mention it, I have to change my vote to Cleric. Cleric would be killer.

You have very respectable physical stats, plenty wisdom, and a +6 cha mod. You just need one Extra Turning and a +2 cha item to be able to do two DMM:Persists per day. That's Divine Power and Righteous Might, or whatever else you like.

Thanks for all the great responses guys. Yeah, the stats are 4d6, rolled in order. It was that or 3d6, assign to taste. ^_^ I obviously went the more interesting route.

I'm hoping for some crazy deadly encounters, because i find 'em fun.

The Artificer looks interesting, but I haven't played a cleric before, and I believe that I'd get Divine Power at level 7 and Righteous Might at 9th, correct? And from the implications of 4d6, this might very well be a game were a little cheese might be a good thing.

If it's not too late, I vote Favored Soul.
They need the high Charisma and especially Dexterity more than Clerics do. And you could actually be a Favored Soul with skills, with your Intelligence score.
