Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Due to the overwhelming response to the last comic, I shall do a
Begging for attention check: [roll]1d20+2[/roll] (+2 for the emoticon)
Failed? Too bad... Anyway, for giving you a little more to talk about, I present you
A LOOK AT THE PLAYERS EQUIPMENT
Caracol's Spear
This returning +1 spear was given to Caracol by his father, once he started his journey to the Outlands, years ago. The spear has a long story, and had countless owners before ending in the Guild of Weavers armory, its manufacturing is unknown.
It's made of a strange matter, more like organic or stony than metallic. It doesn't have, however, any ability to overcome damage reductions.
Sthendal's Robes
Crafted in Toldoth, Sthendal's hometown, this robe is common among necromancers of that city, like a signature to recognize Toldoth's feared obscure casters.
Wen worn, the robe gives his wearer additional hit points, casting a falsed life spell, always active. The spell is cast at the wearer's arcane caster level: it has no effect on divine caster or non-spellcasters. The additional hps disappear as the robe is taken of.
Jorg's Axe and Crossbow
Both masterwork, the weapons that our dwarf rogue uses are not magical, but their dwarven manufacturing makes them hardy and powerful in the right hands.
The light crossbow usually have poisoned darts, and it's the dwarf main weapon. The axe is seldomly used by Jorg, he treats it with extreme care and draws it only if necessary.

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Yeah, the teasing is a fairly commonplace fixture in my gaming circles. Nice usage and placement though. Statistically speaking Sthendal's positionon the roof is detrimental to his combat abilities (Because the longest distance across a box is a diagonal), but Caracol's is looking good. Sthendal appears to be flying though, which should give him a manouevrability benefit.

Even though MrEdwardNigma didn't look anything like MrEdwardNigma, some of my his badassedness (is that a word? Well, it is now) seems to have stuck. Looks like he's the only character that's going to survive this mess (even though he has an arrow sticking out of him).

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
New comic!
12#- Showdown at the Three Worlds End Inn, Part 2
Spoiler
Is someone keeping track of the death count?
We recently hit +5000 views, and I consider this as a good result and a incentive for me to keep on doing the comic. I would like to ask to the readers how to improve the comic, if it's possible.
What do you think about it, now that 12 strips have been posted? It has potential? It's boring? It's a ripoff? It's hopelessly bad?
What can I do to make it better?
I'm waiting for your suggestions and critics!
P.S. The thing that Sthendal mentioned in the last panel (pixie in a sack) is inspired by a ACTUAL IN-GAME EXPERIENCE. And was done by me (hey, I was a drow assassin at the time, so sue me)

"Ohuff?"
Anyway, yeah, it's a good comic, worth continuing with for sure.It is inevitable, of course, that persons of epicurean refinement will in the course of eternity engage in dealings with those of... unsavory character. Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Because that's the unedited version of the strip, I was waiting for Goats to correct it and choose better words, but he hasn't showed up on the forum for days...
A good word choice is difficult for me. Even the onomatopoeias are different in my language...
The plot will not resolved soon, but new characters and plotlines will be added in the incoming strips. I just needed to do some pure "hack and slash" strips.Last edited by Caracol; 2008-05-21 at 05:06 AM.

Boo-yah! Now look who's giving the orders! But my monacle fell off...gah, can't waste a standard action to replace it!
Loving it more and more every strip, and not just because I'm in it.
Bucketloads.
Never!
If it is, I don't know what of. And it's better than the original.
Who said that? No, seriously, I knock 'is block off!
The only thing that I think could be improved (apart from more me ) is that every now and then the puncuation is a bit off. But that's easily fixed, and I know you're not a native speaker (although your english is almost flawless). For the last time, it stands for Shadow of Darkness!

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Actually, I rather enjoyed the Kobold's method of speech... It's not a human character, so why should it speak like the other humans speak... usage of odd speech patterns can definitely give it an alien "monsterly" touch.
In general the series is enjoyable, as always though, the grammar and spelling isn't always 100%, but that is understandable.Kalen the Kobold Paladin by Sneak ; Avatar by Shirwill Jack. (Thanks!)

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Hi everybody, no comic this week. Sorry, but I'm super busy and a special person is coming to visit me today. I won't have time to do the comic for half a week at least, but I promise that you'll have it ready for next Monday (maybe even before).
Please don't go away in the meanwhile!

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
OOOOOKKKK, lets get back to work! I'm working on next strip by now, so expect it in a couple of days.
For all the people who were curious about this special person, and what's my relationship with her, I give you an hint:
and she's redhead, too!!!
The last days were wonderful, but now I have to deal with exams and lessons, but I'll still work on the comic in the spare time.
Thanks! Let's say it's set in a sort of homebrewed setting, but with all the planes descripted in the WotC Manual of Planes, with slight modifications. Further informations about the setting will come.
My original avatar (and character in the comic) is a genasi of fire. He's in snail version due to the incoming Inner Animal Week II, and to honor my slowness in comic updates.

Re: Planar Madness!!! - (another) OOTS style comic
Great comic! Quite entertaining. It made me chuckle out loud quite a few times.... more times than OotS, sometimes.
EDIT::: The Eyes are now officially endorsing this comic. Go Caracol!
Unfortunately, due to Signature restrictions, The Eyes can no longer endorse Planar Madness. You still rock, though, Caracol.
