Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Maybe Daigo doesn't realise that wallpaper consultation will gain him valuable RPing XP...
I *could* edit the PLT (a type of texture file for armour and body parts) to make him look happier - I edited the PLT for Hinjo's head to give it a goatee - but that might be going beyond the call of duty.Last edited by Estelindis; 2008-04-23 at 07:19 PM.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
These are really good, Estelindis. I wasn't interested in the thread, because, hey, I know what they look like, but I clicked on a few and surprised myself.
* Sabine --whew, hot. I thought her hair was longer
* Nale -- isn't perky or blond enough, but I accept your goatee requirement
* V -- perfectHouse Rule : if it's funny enough, it trumps all rules.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Thanks, Qov! *blush*
Regarding Nale's hair: true blonde is tricky. (It's all too easy to make hair look yellow, though. ) One might edit the base texture or the palette, though...
I agree about Sabine's hair, by the way... But there aren't any female heads in NWN with hair that is both long *and* very curly... Well, apart from one that looks like she had a frizz attack... Witness:
Big hair! (Plus, from a technical point of view, the geometry is a bit pointy.)
Spoiler
Alternatively, there is a variant on the head I used that has longer but straighter hair... Also, I'm swivelling her a bit to show her tail (which isn't always visible from the front).
Possible compromise on length/curliness...
Spoiler
I am not aware of *any* heads that have very curly hair in a ponytail (i.e. Sabine's actual style). Maybe I should make one..."Courage is not simply one of the virtues, but the form of every virtue at the testing point."

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Very nice Estelindis (sp?)
I was browsing through my bookmarks and found your photobucket, liked what I saw, and searched GiTP for your name...finding this (I then remembered marking it because of the NWN stuff)...I also play+enjoy NWN quite a bit[Insert witty, prize filled signature here]

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Thanks, Marthais! Not everything in my photobucket gallery is very interesting to the general public - right now, half of it is Community Tileset Project visual bug reports - but it's nice to see that fellow NWN aficionados enjoy what is there.
PS: Spelling is perfect! To be fair, though, with a Quenya username I am just asking for trouble, spelling-wise.Last edited by Estelindis; 2008-04-23 at 08:18 PM.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
In the Shojo picture
It can be argued that it is really superior to the strip, but the Gate and its gem is more like fist sized, not the huge size shown here.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Thanks, Lupy.
I haven't had sufficient Tolkien time on my hands for about ten years now (I was a super Tolkienite when I was fourteen), but I still know enough to be able to tell you that "estel" = high hope, "lin" = song (among other things), and "ndis" = woman. In general, though, it's more of a recipe for misspelling than anything else.
Yeah, I couldn't find a smaller gem. For a while, I was gonna use a blue dragon egg, but then I realised that that was also huge.
EDIT: The best I can really do is position the gem so that only a small bit of it pokes through the throne...
Kinda like this:

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
I've just made a NWN Tsukiko... Unfortunately, I had to use the same head as Sara Greenhilt because I could only come up with one that has two ponytails. Maybe I should have done Sara with a bun...
Anyway, here's Tsukiko with some undead friends:

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Better team evil, but MitD should be peering out of darkness caused by the umbrella rather than seeming to be the darkness. By all accounts, MitD is as easy to see as any random creature.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Yay ZZ'dtri and Tsukiko are exactly how I imagined. But I didn't know that we had Drow race in NWN I, i thought it was in NWN II. Is it an expansion?

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
There was a "Tales of the under-dark" as an expansion for NWN1. Pretty sure that had drow.

Re: Order of the Stick Characters
Yeah, the second expansion pack for NWN1 is called "Hordes of the Underdark" and is rather excellent. (Plot is *way* better than the official campaign or the first expansion.) But, honestly, if I'd wanted to play a drow before that happened, I would've just chosen drow skin and hair colours and put "dark elf" into the subrace box. Mind you, it doesn't give you the nifty racial adjustments - you can get those in NWN2.
By the way, David Argall, I don't think I'll be able to recreate the MitD perfectly. It would take quite a bit of modelling gymnastics to create an umbrella that projected shadow (as opposed to a shadow beastie holding an umbrella), and I'm only just learning how to use 3DSMax now.
Here are a couple of quick pictures...
Miko, riding Windstriker into battle!
Spoiler
Also, Hilgya again - but in NWN2 - I think she may be one of the few characters who it's easy to portray well in NWN2, but ye can be the judges of that!

Another character...
Celia - in her outfit from the dungeon, and then in the dress she wears on the date with Roy (best approximation I could make).
