    Jaz Tellic

    Jaz, like the others, spends much of his time attempting to learn Regalian from Jermaine, and like the others his grasp of the language is still far from perfect, but he can at least communicate. Kinda. Sorta. He uses alot of gesture. Unlike the others, he didn't fully equip himself as soon as possible, preferring to not weigh himself down. Instead he wears simple but well made traveling clothes, seeming little different from well made work clothes. The only items of interest that he seems to keep on himself are a cloak, a pair of boots, and a golden necklace. The Cloak, while perfectly normal looking save a silver trim, seems to increase Jaz's presence. The Boots appear to be masterfully made, and make the halfling's already quite footsteps almost silent. The necklace is a fine golden chain with an oddly, almost hand shaped object hanging from it, but it stays under the halfling's shirt. While he doesn't wear the other articles, he does spend a good hour each day going over each piece of equipment carefully, checking for any signs of wear that couldn't have developed since his last check. If someone asks him about this, he replies in a stretch of his own languages, expressing that he can't quite tell you why. Any remaining time is spent wandering the area in the immediate vicinity of the town and making strange sounds and motions in the yard around the church, but seems to come off no better than Phiranthyl.

    ------------------
    Mya's.....think.....good Jaz says, while pointing at the chalk drawing.I hope that got the idea across. I wish I had Andril's helm though. Useful thing, at times. Especially with locals.
    While the others continues discussing, Jaz also settles down to eat, and while the food is plainer than he'd normally prefer, he is content. After all, mercenary food and army food aren't that different, and you know what they say about army food.

    Reaching a consensus to investigate the ruins, you seven leave the church fully armed, accompanied by the giant worm. It is quite a disastrous scene, big trees ripped up from the roots, cleaved in half and giant craters lining the ground. Near the crash site, you catch site of really old structures. All that seems left is four worn down pillars of different heights and a stone foundation, covered by weed, ivy and wear and tear to hardly be able to tell the original building. While looking around, Mya finds a part of the foundation that is not made of stone, rather a dark metallic cup of sorts, embedded into the foundation, covered by vines and weed.

    Kyrsus

    On their way to the crash site, Kyrsus keeps to the fore of their group, shield readied and his other hand resting at his waist. As they travel, he at first gazes about them in interest, then as they go on and it is only wilderness, he seems to withdraw inward, lowering his eyes to just keep watch over the path directly in front of him and keep from tripping up.

    At the crash site, he observes the scene, mouth pulling down into a scowl and brow furrowing. Backing up somewhat at Jaz's instruction, he watches the others work for a while, then begins looking over one of the pillars idly.

    Marcus

    Marcus raises a single eyebrow at the chalkboard and the drawing and ponders to himself why he hadn't thought to keep a chalkboard on him, even without having foreseen such a thing. It was not as though he was lacking in the amount of chalk he had. After a few moments he nodded, "... ruins." He reaches into his pack and slips a blackened shield from the center compartment, the mouth of the bag stretching impossibly large to let it pass through. He does not slip the shield over his arm but slings it over his back as well to keep it nearby and ready.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As they leave for the ruins Marcus secures his shield upon his arm though he does not draw his blade. As they travel the crusader brings up the rear with frequent glances back to keep an eye on their flank. He mentally runs through his various maneuvers and their perfect executions as well as a few inspiring battle shouts to inspire his allies. When they arrive at the ruins he does not inspect anything specifically because he has no knowledge of such things. He merely watches the surroundings in case of an unexpected visitor in tune with his natural instincts after having done very much the same as he had done with his brother many times before.
    Jaz's spell clears out a patch of the plant matter that covers the foundation. The stone underneath is worn and damaged by roots but you all are able to see six other similar metal compartments arranged in a circular pattern around the center of the foundation.
    Mya
    Before the group sets out Mya goes and offers Jermaine gold for the chalk and board. It may come in useful if the language proves too much of a block. Now geared up she wears a very dark green cloak over patterned dark green and brown armor. A few axes and knives hang from her belts but she obviously prefers her bow.
    As they leave Mya speaks to the others. Mya first. Look good. with gestures showing one hand walking ahead of the other hand. She trails ahead of the group, not close but usually in sight of each other. The normally gabby girl changes competely as they leave the village, becoming very quite and very focused on their surroundings.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    When they arrive she finds the cup and indicates its presence to the others, but shrugs her shoulders to declare she has no idea of its relevance.

    Stepping back for Jaz she is slightly shocked by the fire coming out of his hand, and backs from him a bit more. Seven holes, seven gems, seven of us. Curiouser and curiouser. She thinks to herself trying to figure out how to express that. She holds of seven fingers and points at the holes, then hold of seven fingers and points at the others in the gruop.

    Otheym

    Only because she was extremely insistent did Oteym allow Mya to go first, and having already been out here, he felt fairly sure there was nothing dangerous around. He was able to make a nice path for the others to follow as Ma'Keer left a trail behind her - dragging one's body along the ground tends to flatten things much more than a creature with legs would. Astride the worm, with lance in hand and shield hooked onto the saddle, he looks much more at peace than he has at any other time they have known him.

    Arriving at the site, Otheym let them take their time in investigating the craters and the ruins. For himself, he dismounted and allowed Ma'Keer off ther lead, but reminded her to stay close in case he needed her. He then walked over to the pillars as the halfling burned off the underbrush.

    He was somewhat ashamed he did not find the metallic depressions in the foundations himself, but took it in stride - he was not at his best the last time he was out here. Hrmmmm, I think she is on to something... thinks Otheym, after Mya does her pantomine of the number of us, the gems, and the holes in the pedestal.

    "You think put gems there? Yes? Maybe danger." Magic had always been a little beyond his understanding, so he was understandably cautious. Of course, he would like to get home, and he had to do something. The people here were nice enough, but he had a duty to his unit and Caliph. "I think we try. What others think?"

    EDIT: added a little in the middle

    Josech had managed to slip himself comfortably near the middle ranks of the group, arms crossed as he let his gaudy cloak out loose behind him. He seems confident enough without any weapon, an assured grin on his face as he paces along.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    As they arrive at the site, Josech seems content to linger about until Mya finds the depressions in the foundation, nodding at Mya's pantomime. He reaches into his pack, pulling out his gem, and then holding it next to the foundation. "That, hear?" He states, trying to get a closer look a how the shape of his stone and the shape of the hole match up.
    Phiranthyl Olminnakra
    Phiranthyl seemed more than anxious to go and see the ruins. His lingering sickness the only thing having kept him from wandering off by himself to this point. Fully equipped he wears a breastplate of shining metal, whose edges seem difficult to focus on. Centered on the breastplate is a diamond that appears to have been inset into the armor. His left arm sports a small wooden shield, that looks to have been fire-hardened and is sooty in appearance. The front has no embossing, and shows the signs of much use. At his right hip sits a marvellous scimitar, slightly more curved than you might expect. The bottom of the pommel sports a deep red gem that almost seems to pulse with an inner light. While getting ready to leave, he pulled a set of yellow gloves adorned with 3 stars on the back of each palm onto his hands. A simple brown cloak covers his shoulders, and his brown leather breeches are tucked into black leather boots.
    While travelling, he stays near the front but gives the odd metallic man and his even odder mount a fairly wide berth. At the ruins, slowly circumnavigated the entirety looking for oddities.
    Spot - (1d20+7)[23]
    When the indentations are pointed out, Phir also moves to take a look and gives way when Jaz motions for everyone to back up. As the halfling begins casting, Phir takes special notice as the casting looks very strange to him.
    Spellcraft - (1d20+10)[29]
    While keeping an eye out he takes notice of the others sliding their gems into some sort of indentions and he wanders over to do the same. Even as Marcus slides his gem into the sixth slot he ponders to himself about the odd notion that the gems are going dull. Regardless of whether or goes dull or not he will look to the others. "<Hell... what's the word I'm looking for... err...> order?" He scrunches up his face in thought before he slips some chalk from his pack of varying lengths. He shuffles them around in hopes that it will display that he is suggesting perhaps they need to go in a particular order.
    The detect magic spell does not reveal anything on the cups or the gems, except for the cups with with dulled gems. You sense faint transmutation.
