Wearing more than 1 armor if they are not specifically designed to be worn that way is impossible because:

1. They provide the same bonus (armor), and that doesnt stack (like a leather armor doesnt stack with mage armor)
2. It is against common ****ing sense

Adding the armor value of one armor to your shield AC bonus is illegal.

And even though the purchases are not listed on this thread, they are not listed on your sheet either. Please make a purchase list with all your purchases, for accounting total wealth.

Forgive me, the extra armour was a mistake. I bought the scale mail after my match ended but before this one started. I was under the impression that purchases made before the match started didn't have to be mentioned, but those after match start, but before combat did have to be mentioned.

The multiple bonuses to AC: I bought the scale mail, and put it in the sheild/protective item as it is additional armour, and then modified the armour AC bonus to +4 instead of +3, but forgot to eliminate the sheild bonus from where I put the scale mail. No, my character is not wearing two sets of armour. He is wearing scale mail.

If my interpretation on information on purchases was incorrect, I will list the items I purchased. Either way, my items, and their cost, are both on my character sheet.

Purchases made before a new combat thread is set up do not have to be declared.

Any purchases made after the thread is set up must be declared during the purchase phase.

(note: while not expressly in the rules, it's best to say 'hey I purchased some stuff, it's on my sheet)

No matter when it's purchased, a full accounting log must be kept. You must include all purchases and the prices, all sold items and the price (half list value), and all winnings and the match they are won from. Items crafted must also be listed with the cost in gold.

Despite the rule that says you can't change your sheet after a match is posted, listing what you purchased at the beginning of a match is fine. Some of the refs have said they prefer to see this.

If both contestants agree, I don't see any reason purchases can't be straightened out. If it were past the first round, then it would be a problem. Unless a high ref wants to overrule this on principle, but generally if it doesn't have a huge impact on the match, it's not a big deal, and both participants agreeing on something goes a long way.

I buy a Crawling Tattoo of Inflict Pain, 300 gold pieces. I start at B 13, with my scythe at hand. I assume that we're still working on the same initiatives?

I move to F 13 (move action), and tap my newly purchased tattoo (standard action), designating the frighteningly strong-looking orc as the target.

I start in Z14, with my great falchion strapped in a locked gauntlet, resting on my shoulder. My other hand is not gauntleted, although there is a potion at my side...seeing the guy in front of me, behind the invisible wall tap at his arm, I grin and start advancing:

Since I only now found out that I can control the tattoo, here goes for the first round.

Well, when it moves to a square adjacent to U17, it *le gasp* triggers my readied action to smash anything that comes near:

I think that the tattoo just succeeded? It's AC is 18, I think, which you failed to surpass, and yours was 16, and it got 17. Inflict Pain is on, is it?

EDIT: And I have a feeling your will save failed as well. That's some very bad luck with rolls right there.
